| With Lowes appointment to be the Bulls coach will this mean that the Rhinos will now make a proper i.e. full-time appointment to the Assistant Coaches role?
I would like to see that happen but have no idea who it should or could be.
Preferably someone to coach the attack.

Yes, because the Bulls attack has been awesome this season.
It was clearly too much to hope for a sensible debate on this here.

| A bloke I know is tipping dunemann for assistant next year and moving to head coach year after. Don't know how much stock to put into what he says I have no idea where he gets his info from. On a positive he told me we had signed someone called Achurch long before it was mentioned in public by the club. But he has also told me rummors that were way wide of the mark

I know this bloke too and unfortunately he predicted that Kirky will never leave the Rhinos in our lifetime...

virtually every topic on here goes off the rails. I was jokingly making a point about the availability of an ex player who had tried assistant /head coach roles at other clubs and could be a possibility. James Lowes followed a similar course.
IMO I think the club may use the role to entice one of their senior players whilst softening the blow of demoting them from being a first team regular.
top of the list would be Peacock /Sinfield, with alternative options being McGuire /Burrow / JJB and possibly Kirke thrown into the mix.

| It needs an outside influence going forward, and Dunemann would be a perfect replacement to take over.
I also wouldn't be surprised if Cummins ended up at Carnegie, replacing Lowes.

Not necessarily sure I agree on needing an outside influence. The best potential assistant coach may be one who has been a proven winner an knows what is required whilst also understanding the winning culture that the club has had over the last decade. I'm not sure why you lambast the club for not doing everything to keep kids who could turn out to be great whilst calling for the exact opposite regarding the coaching positions.

| Lowes hasn't been involved with the Rhinos for a while now, and Leeds didn't have a full time assistant coach? I though Plume and Eaton were assisting on a PT basis? So why would Lowes' apointment at Bradford have any baring on Leeds appointing a full time assistant?
FWIW I think Dunneman would be a suberb adition.

i thought Lowes did still play a part in our coaching set-up along with those you mention.
This article in the YEP today (towards the end) suggests that he has continued to be involved & that the club is looking for an assistant coach:

Surely you are not really trying to compare a potential star kid with years ahead of him in the game, with appointing a coach from a playing pool. Two completely different talents, and a ridiculous argument.

| What's Dave Furner up to I know he got the boot at Canberra as a head coach but he was highly thought of within the NRL as a potentially astute young coach plus he knows the SL and Leeds.
