Yes, losing to Wire & Wigan was disappointing.

We have had a run of very tough games, with only Hull FC at home (not exactly a cakewalk) as a breather.

We're 2nd, we've got a run of fixtures coming up where we can rest players. We've also won all our home games, and played most of the top teams away.

Our toughest fixtures coming up are:

Wigan (A)
Huddersfield (H)
St Helens (H)
Castleford (H)
Hull FC (A)

3 home games against opposition we've already put in good shifts against.

If we lose away at Wigan and win the remainder, we should top the table.

Agree with your sentiments - we have not turned into a bad team over night, far from it. However, teams are starting to realise that JP & Kylie can't keep us going forward for 80 minutes & there not enough 'grunt' after them. Add to that, the fact that without Burrows we are pedestrian at half back, leaves us with limited options.
The players need to knuckle down, as I suspect despite what GH has said, not all of them will be playing at Headingley next season.

Yeah but what "grunt" did Wire really have on the bench? Asotasi who has been slated this year by his own lot and Ben Evans. They only made 7 and 8 carries respectively for 34m and 68m so their forwards off the bench were hardly an issue.

People jump on the prop thing every time we lose but Friday was clear as day a lull throughout the whole team, with Leuluai being one of the exceptions along with Ablett.

Looking at the season so far, the win at Castleford has to be a positive, given the way they are going so far, only us and St Helens have got points from the Jungle this year.

I'm not talking about Wires 'grunt' - I'm on about ours ! I never actually referred to the props, I was stating that our pack generally lacks aggression !
Clarkson is a waste of space (regularly is knocked off the tackle, as he was several times on Friday), Stevie Ward's work rate is good but he is simply not big enough without bulking up, Kirke is big but has no aggression !). Singleton for me is better starting a game as he needs game time............on Friday our bench players did not & do not give us options to change games.
I'll also stick by the fact that our half backs are too old & too slow - we need some pace behind the scrum/play the ball. Sinny back to the scrum & Danny on his way !

It's our traditional mid season dip. Disappointing to watch, but as long as we come good towards the back end, it means nowt.

This is the same team that was top of the league a few days ago and is now only in second!
One poor result (and the only game we should have lost this year) doesn't mean our halves are too old and slow and the pack decrepit. Have faith; we had a run of intense games, and the team will be back up.

Your wasting your breathe I'm afraid, some love to knee jerk and have been waiting on a showing like this to jump all over the team.

Reality is it happens, even the mighty 2004 team that won the league by 9 points lost at Saints by 56-10 with players such as Chris Feather, Wayne McDonald and Francis Cummings in it. Rob Burrow also started the game at hooker although some would have you believe only McDermott did that.

The amount of people on here who go mental whenever we lose a game is crazy. Seriously, it's like Arsenal fans on crack.

After our first half performance tonight think we might need to panic, we're has bad as last week.

Numby eyebrows Brough will have a field day next week if we perform like the last 2 games.

It's one thing reacting to results. It's another entirely reacting to performances and the last three weeks Leeds have performed badly IMO.

A repeat performance at Huddersfield, and hopefully a few more people will see why people react the way they do.
