Now that a utility company has got naming rights to the SL will it be easier for Doom and Gloomers like William Eve to finally flick that big switch for our sport off once and for all ?

I would have been surprised if a value had been revealed publicly. The negotiations will have been "commercial in confidence" at every stage.

Once you give your sponsorship away for a few trucks, it was always going to be hard to persuade a company to pay much money for it. But whatever amount they got from First utility it should mean next time negations comes up, the rfl will be in a stronger position. Good news!

Actually, thinking about it, on the 'Rhinos Tariff' you'd probably find out that you had run out of gas two thirds of the way through the year, with the old timers who BM persists in playing..!

We've used this lot as energy providers for a year or 2 now never had any bother, unlike most of the major suppliers their bills don't go up every term and they are very reliable. hope they provide the same service as sponsor to super league.....

But joining in above the best tariff they do is........ The Giants plan, Pay loads up front for instant good service but runs out after 18 months. This will soon be known as the Salford plan..........
