| An absolute farce, I thought someone might be injured in this Mickey Mouse game watched by seven thousand it's just our luck it's sinfield .
I now read that the incompetent england coaching team are going out to Australia to check out on our boys playing over in Australia . Nice work if you can get it, I am certain everybody on this site can tell them how good the the English boys are over in Australia. That's why they are playing in the nrl.
After the exiles game we have learned nothing, apart from the fact we managed to play a recognized full back at centre, also the exiles team were the weakest we have seen.
I presume the rugby league will be paying sinfields wages due to him been injured playing for England .
I leave you with the most banal and jaw dropping comment I have ever heard from Stevo on last Fridays game .
' after England's first half performance the Aussies and kiwis will really be sitting up and taking notice'

| This injury period to so many senior pros is about the juniors now.
Get them into the team in their "Natural positions" and let them do their stuff.
I'm sure we'll all get behind them and give them the encouragement they'll need to settle in it's not nice to see so many good players injured but i'll get plenty of enjoyment watching these young guns come into the team and hopefully eventually show their full potential and if they already give GH the urgency to get them signed up long term.

TOTALLY AGREE (as usual I guess).
Like Biffs Back I am now more looking forward to Monday night's game in the hope of seeing the likes of Sutcliffe at SO; Singleton and Balwindson in the forwards and McShane given a full 80 at hooker. Problem is we're just as likely to see Hardaker at SO, Sutcliffe on the bench - as back up non-playmaker - and Baldwinson as 80 mins bench-sitter.

Well, i have defended Mac at times on here for the way he has brought through the juniors at Leeds but If Sutcliffe does not get a run of games at stand off from here he deserves all the criticism that would come his way.

Absolutely agree again.
The trip down under is nothing more than a 'jolly' for the boys.
England, based on Friday night's performance are dead and buried against NZ, never mind the Aussies.
One piece of food for thought....maybe Sinfield is the answer to the Leeds hooker issue (thus preventing the bedding in of Sutcliffe at SO/LF; Ward at LF/SO). Either McShane or Hood being the future cover ....as I don't expect both to be hanging around as second/third fiddle to Burrow.

| On a more positive note, another regular season injury presents the club with an excellent opportunity to finish 5th again. They could do with losing another 5 or 6 regular season games which isn't easy against mostly whipping boy SL rabble. Every little injury helps.

Can't really disagree that the standards in SL are poor these days highlighted by the age of some of the players taking the field last Friday in a "competitive international" match

Sadly I have to agree. I have seen no development or improvement in england under Steve McNamara, in the world cup the best they can hope for is that they keep the score down against australia in the semis.
It hurts because i think now more than any other time in the super league era they have some players of real individual ability. You have the 'burgi' and graham all making waves down under and then you have the assortment of decent forwards we have over here (the crown jules are in aus). Then you look at all the outside backs we have started to produce in the last few years, hall, watkins, tomkins, briscoe, charnley etc. We actually have some choice and competition of quality there, remember when we were playing the likes of richard horne on the wing?
The only area we are still severly lacking is in the halves, because in all the other areas we aren't doing too badly now.

| Bad news, At least it isn't the end of his season.
Who is likely to take over the kicking then?

We know you don't like to see bad injury's to opposing players, but we have someone on our board who has a list of quite a number of Wiganers who think differently and posted so,and it looks like they didn't get even a warning
