| Sadly, I am unable to get to Dannys testimonial game at the weekend. Would anyone like to do a match report and e-mail it to me for publication on the site?
Let me know by PM if you can do it.
Thanks.

| Does anyone know if we can pay on the day for this? I hope the match goes ahead. Weathers looking terrible this weekend.

I would be very surprised if you can't - put it this way, I've not bought a ticket for this game, neither have any of my mates so there better be a cash gate.

| "Strongest available" team named for Leeds - no Ward or Leuluai.
Vickery partners Watkins on the right, Burrow starts ahead of McShane who is part of a five man bench with Bailey, Achurch, Clarkson and Griffin.

| Kirke starting at prop in place of the missing Leuluai which hints that he's ahead of Griffin and Achurch for the 4th prop spot in the 17 come the season opener.
Not opting to start Bailey may suggest that he's not considering having him as a starting prop yet as some had hoped for this season and that it will still be Peacock & Leuluai as starters (if fit).

| Can't see Achurch playing prop, looks better suited to a wider running second rower spot.
I'd say Clarkson is most at risk of losing out, along with one of Bailey or Griffin. No need for an extra prop at loose forward now Ablett is released back into the pack full time.

I agree entirely about Achruch Andy but I can see them playing him at prop because "he's big". Coaches frustrate the heck out of me with this. Had we signed Menninga at his peack I'm sure we'd have played him at prop.

To be fair this only really happens when we are struggling for props. As we have 6 frontline props I would imagine that he wouldn't be needed and could be used more effectively out wide.

however the forward pack is used this season, its good to see plenty of versatility there.
I know we mostly all said it last season but i really see no need to flog Kylie and JP this year and keep them fresh for the really big games.

| With the starting back-row consisting of....
- JJB
- Delaney
- Ablett
and then Ward on the bench who I think will still be used in the same role as last year of second row subsitute and then Clarkson waiting in the wings. I do expect Achurch to end up fighting for a prop position with the ability to switch to back-row if need be for injuries.
I think the fowards/bench will look like this at the start of the year (injuries permitting)
8 - Leuluai
9 - Burrow
10 - Peacock
11 - JJB
12 - Delaney
13 - Ablett
14 - Ward
15 - Kirke
16 - Bailey
17 - McShane
The question mark is over the final bench spot and whether or not McDermott goes for a hooker or another big guy.........yes I know that sounds wrong.
