At this rate with all this 'love in' for Sir Kev amongst the wider RL community (long overdue) he must be a good bet for MOS next season

According to one comment we only have one decent player, and it isn't Sir Kev.

Lomax, Widdop, Brough etc. might be able to do some individual things better but will they lead the team around better? We won't beat Australia based on individual skills or efforts but from a terrific 17 man performance and no one will get the team on the whole raising to the occasion better than Sinfield.

Some of the anti-Sinfield comments on there (and on here) are frankly a little bit embarrassing, not to mention ludicrous.

But anyway, as far as I'm concerned, there isn't one single player in Super League that I would swap for Kev. It's been an absolute pleasure to watch him gracing the blue and amber shirt over the years. A model professional, a man who has made the absolute most of his ability, and more to the point, a humble, articulate and gracious man with it.

As he himself admits, he isn't a game breaking show pony, but never have i seen anybody who can read and dictate a game as well as he does. Finally it seems that the media (if not the buffoons who comment on such articles) are realising that he is a man that Leeds RL, England RL and Rugby League as a whole can and should be proud of. He is the epitome of dedication, commitment, proffessionalism and sportsmanship.

If fans of other teams can't or choose not to recognise his undoubted qualities, then so be it. I'm happy for my opinion to be lumped in with my fellow Leeds fans, every coach that has ever coached him, and seemingly the vast majority of his fellow pro's and colleagues past and present.

This article and the one post-Grand Final in the YEP were both a pleasure to read and bang on the money.
