Ever fancied playing RL but felt restricted by age, sex, ability or just never got around to it? Have you always fancied a go but just not fancied getting injured?

If so then tag rugby could be for you.

It's a non contact version of RL open to both sexes from the age of 16. In Leeds there is one team that plays and trains all year round - The Lost Loiners.

We play at Morley RFC every Monday evening from 7pm til 9pm (except Bank Holidays). All new players are very welcome. We have male and female players and even those that support clubs like Wakefield, Hunslet, Halifax and even Bradford.

All ages and abilities are welcome. Our oldest player is in his 50s.

The game is a great way to get fit while having fun. Far better than the gym. Plus you can pretend to be your RL hero in the company of other deluded wannabes!

We train (by playing a game amongst ourselves) every Monday and also play in a summer league taking on teams from other areas (usually on Saturdays).

We have changing rooms and hot showers plus a very decent bar for post game socialising.

Everyone's first visit is free but then a small £2 per training session fee is charged to pay for the hot water, floodlights etc.

Won our first tournament of the season on Satrurday at East Leeds ARLFC beating Fev, 2 teams from Wakey and Batley.

I'm currently busy on a Monday but thinking of rearranging things as this sounds like my kind of thing - I would play full contact rugby but I'm the least appropriate build possible! I see you don't just have Leeds fans either so I assume an expat Wire will be welcome?

Well I'm a Bulls fan along with a couple of others, a Hunslet fan, a Wakey fan and a Fax fan all play - we're just one big happy family.

If I can manage to dig the boots out (last chucked in a cupboard ten years ago our of frustration), I may give it a bash next week.

Yeah, I'm free on a Monday from next week, so I'll be there, probably in a Wire shirt for a laugh . What do we need to bring in terms of training kit?

You'll need boots but you can wear anything else (within reason).

We have hot showers and a nice bar too.
