| Sunday see's a double header at Headingley
Leeds Carnegie v Bristol Rugby
followed by
Rhinos v Hull FC
Our charitable friends at Headingley arent allowing you the facility of watching both matches and have stated that after the Carnegie game if you dont have a full price ticket for the Rhino's game then you will be "EJECTED".
What a marketing scoop for Leeds !!!
Leeds Carnegie are currently second bottom of the Championship table the second tier of rugby union against an unbeaten Bristol.
Surely they would have been better promoting this a a joint game and boosting the attendance for the Carnegie game, it will be interesting to see what mighty attendance figure there is for the Carnegie game.

Leeds Carnegie charge £17 for matchday admission - if you allowed everyone to just buy a ticket for the Carnegie game and then stick around they would be getting in for cheaper than those turning up to watch the Rhinos game on its own.
You've also got the issue of safety and knowing just how many people are in the ground at any time. If you don't know how many folks have stayed after the Carnegie game, how do you know how many you can let into the stadium for the Rhinos game?
What this does is slightly inconvenience a couple of hundred people who might have wanted to watch both games by actually forcing them to buy two tickets to watch two games of rugby. Excuse me if I'm not frothing at the mouth in anger.

| the SL playoffs are an RFL event, so Leeds can't offer free tickets to RU fans, as the RFL and the qualifying clubs would lose out
the other way round is of course fine, as the RU boys have a bottomless pit of money to spend

| Based on what AG said, isn't the reason they're asking for a "full price Rhinos ticket" meaning that you've to pay £20 not £17?!
So you could see the Union with a League ticket, but you can't pay the Union (£17) and see both?

| Hopie has nailed this goose for me.
Any complaints (I can't imagine there will be many) can be forwarded to the RFL.

| Also, the RU game is at 1.00pm? We're not on until 5.15pm?!
Surely nobody would be hanging around for that long anyway? Unless the RU has sent them to sleep and they wake up as the RL crowd finds its voice.

If it was JUST before, I'd consider it. I often get there pretty early anyway. But I'm not going at 1pm to watch Union when we don't kick off til after 5! I'd be lucky if I could see straight by the time our match was on.

You could go and at the end of both halfs hope for a big ruck, you know one of those where overtime spills over in the 136th minute of play - that could take up more time than you think.
Then a couple of double shot coffee's then your awake for the real rugby. Oh but hang on, I forgot you are a coffee-pussy - may give you headache.

That's extremely harsh. Surely there should be some financial incentive to watch the union side?

More of an incentive than a complimentary (i.e. free) ticket when you purchase one for the Rhinos game?
How much more of a discount do you need than 100%?
