| What's the definition of a young player?
Jones-Bishop is 23 (although only 22 at the start of the season)

I'd say about that age. Unless you play for Warrington, then it's 28.

| Not seen all the games due to work commitments but I would say my player of the year would be Ablett. YPotY for me would be between BJB and Hardaker. The latter hasnt had a heap of game time but when he's played he looked like he had been there for years.

| Ryan Hall is also 23 and has now scored 102 tries for the Leeds club. He must be in with a shout for young player this season then.

TBF I think the YP vote should be rookie and 2nd year players. After that you are pretty bedded into the team (if you are a regular starter) and should be classed as an experienced player IMO.

| So Young Player is between:
Rookies - Zac Hardaker, Brad Singleton, George Elliott
2nd Year - Chris Clarkson
Not much of a choice there really.

"Thems" the cards we are dealt
For instance you could get a Francis Cummins or a Chev walker who have been in the league for 7 years by the time another player plays his 1st or 2nd year. You would expect the former to be better just through experience alone by then. But by the same aspect you could get a Paul Sterling who has his "rookie" season at 1st Grade when he's 29 (?) and there for cant really be classed as a Young player
So as far as Frosties question goes, i'd say 22/23 and below. But as far as rookies go it can only be Hardaker IMO.

| For me it's.
Ablett
Sinfield
Delaney
Young guns.
Bjb
Hardaker
Watkins.
I also think Bailey has had a good season and JJb the last 2 months or ss is showing very good form(stupid penalties aside).

Agree with most of this for me
1) Ablett
2) Sinfield
3) Hall
1) BJB
2) Hardaker
3) Watkins
Also think Jjb and Delaney and buderus are close to player of year. Delaney for me has impressed in SR and his strengh and leg drive when in contact are impressive.
Think Mcshane could have gone close in YP but seemed to go into the wilderness a bit and hasn't seen alot of game time

| Some interesting discussion.
I'm surprised only one has mentioned Bedsy though. For me he has to be in the top 3 of our performers this season.
Sinfield is a given. For the other spot it's between Delaney and Ablett for me.
Rookie/young player probably has to be BJB but both he and Watkins have missed a fair few games with injury.
For a 'newbie' to the team I'd go for Hardaker
