| No contest ... BJB skins him every time on the outside BUT then ruins it with those stupid kicks in field.
It's worked once at the millenium with the penalty try... But the lad needs to learn to take the tackle. Leeds would have scored to win after that break. The team certainly did not deserve to lose the way it did.
JJB, Ablett and Burrow were immense ( bit of a pattern here ).
BJB should usurp Webb at FB... His kick returns are awesome

| I thought BJB was excellent for you today. His kick was a good one, just a bit too much to the right for Mcguire to get to it. BJB is a real talent.

| Bish is class, he does kick sometimes which can be frustrating when he should take the tackle, no doubt he, kallum, and clarky will all benefit from playing in a pressure final, we still need a centre, abbo has been doing a great job but just doesnt have the strike power of say a younger senior or atkins.
Burrow was very good coming off the bench, do you think we are gonna see mc play mags and burrow in the halves, with sinny at lock with mcshane on the bench this season? Im a big fan of Mcshane and feel he deserves a return to the first team

| Would definately like to see mcshane back in the set up early in the season he was shoing some real promise, as for the bjb kick maybe he should havepassed inside to webb dnt think taking the tackle was thebest option as he does seem to be pushed over by a strong breeze but definately gaining some confidence in his own ability to attempt kicks like that

| The kick was a good one and a good option. Tomkins did really well to cover and get something on it, but a slightly different bounce of the ball would have been impossible for him and seen McGuire and Ablett have a walk-in try. It was unlucky, as were a few other things that could have made a difference today.

I beg to differ.....if it had been the last tackle fair enough, but it wasn't. A kick is always a last ditch choice IMO. Twice now BJB has brilliantly beaten Richards on the outside in the last two Wigan v Leeds games ...but then has ruined it with an uneccessary speculative kick each time.
If he had at least taken the tackle the tackles remaining would have more guaranteed a try IMO.

| I tihnk BJB is one of the best prospects in the game. But your're right about his kicking, it worked once at MM and he tries it everytime. But he was veyr unlucky it didn't result in a try. But i feel he could have taken Tomkins on.

| From the kick was it not a knock on by rat boy when it hit Mags? Think it would have been a tough pass given the circumstances though it was nice he made PR look inadequate.

| In all fairness I expect Tomkins to swat McGuire off, he's a big strong lad. Webb was stupid going all the way across, should have held off until Tonkins HAD to go to the corner then take him out.

Along with his brain fart dropping of the high ball when under no pressure (4 points down only at this stage) it does make you wonder how he retains the FB spot above the likes of BJB - and Smith for that matter.
Webb's last good game was against Wigan at the DW....those games are few and far between.

I think BJB is our full back for the next 7 years and a great young talent but I posted on here he's not a winger a season or two back (TVOC will jump in here) and that effort showed it. Great stuff to skin Richards on the outside but blew it then. Not a true finisher. Did not commit Tomkins at all.
Had Scott Donald been on the right wing today I think we might have won.
Burrow was immense as he has been also season. He was the best hooker and the best scrum half for Leeds today. Out played both Dannys (mCguire and Buderus) who were mostly anonymous.

| Has BJB taken a leaf out of McGuire's tactic book of kicking too often when not necessary looking for the flash-looking play instead of playing the percentages (remember the grubber kick in the semi on tackle 4 when setting up for the drop goal was the sensible play)

| Both he and Watkins could be very special. Watkins made Carmont look average in defence, which he very much is not. Both are only going to get better.
