| Right - so Leeds are already facing the start of the season with one of their starting halves missing, and are going to allow the other to move to another SL club?
Besides which, where are Bradford going to find the cash to sign a contracted player from anywhere - have they found a stash of unreturned pop bottles in a cupboard somewhere they can claim the deposits back on?

| I must confess I heard this rumour a few weeks back and thought it to be utter bollox but it's funny how this has re-surfaced.
Mind you Bulls1989 has got form for talking cobblers.

You've as much chance of getting a large sum of compensation for Orford as Leeds had of getting one for Eastwood.

I don't think Burrow is for sale for one thing and another is you lot need all the ££££ you can get hence the season tickets for 10 bob and a packet of wine gums.

| It's funny how quickly things can happen when there's a coaching transition. I remember 2005/6. Our side changed radically and we lost some senior players out of the blue.
This could happen at Leeds.

True but i think we are due 2/3 to go at the end of the 2011 season anyway so our transitional period is ongoing.

I doubt it tbh not with a man like Hetherington in charge, Leeds are a well run club and I doubt a change of coach will mean a massive overhaul of the playing staff.

| Leeds will not let Burrow walk away without a tranfer fee. I wouldn't mind Burrow leaving just as long as GH brought in a quality scrum half to replace him. We are already have the prospect of starting the season without McGuire, if Burrow left too then Leeds would be well up shiz creak! Which with a man like GH in charge wouldn't happen!

There will be a massive overhaul of the playing staff over the next two years however IMO, and McDermott's biggest challenge is going to be managing it without a drop in results.
Over that period, Leeds are going to need to find replacements for the likes of Webb, Senior, Peacock, Leuluai, Cross, Lauitiiit and Buderus. How well that transition is handled could be the yardstick by which McDermott is measured rather than necessarily the winning of trophies.
