| According to today's YEP looks like this guy is our number 1 target to replace Eastwood.
Described as a "hard hitting prop" known for his powerful ball carries and tough defence.
32 this December though so if true probably only 3 years or so left of his career as opposed to Eastwood who could still have a decade in the game
I hope it's not a case of another Aussie come over to top his pension up?
From the sounds of it he sounds like the TYPE of prop we need but his age is a little off putting

| I'd be very happy with this signing. Yes he's 31/32, but he's just the sort of prop we're lacking. Big, aggressive, no-nonsense yard maker. The type who looks like he'd eat your kids and would attempt to run through a Brick wall to do it. Good work GH if we get him.
I do seem to remember him being stretcherd off towards end of Mel season though, although I'm sure he played the following week.

agree about the way he plays is exactly what we need especially as JP will be missing the first few months of the season and to be fair even with JP in the team we still need another tough/agressive hard metre making prop.
I just wish he was a couple of years younger.
IF the rumour is true (and let's face it we usually end up signing someone different to the press rumours ie Pritchard/Eastwood and Atkins/Millard/Delaney) the thing that would concern me is that JP/Cross/Kylie are all going to need replacing over the next couple of years as they call it a day so pretty much a short term solution

Explain how this would be true considering the way the pound is expected to go in the next 12 months?

Good point and with the IR looking to close the "image rights" loophole (if they have'nt already) i think the retirement fund days are numbered.
If he does sign he will add to the "Dads Army" numbers within the squad so i do hope it's only short term i.e 2yrs max.

Everytime we look at an again Aussie the same old line is trotted out. If he comes then it aint for a retirement fund this time.
I don't care that he's 32 tbh if he can do a job for a couple of years.

Very true and would add some leadership to the front row in JP's absence.

| He's a pretty good prop to be honest, he's no world beater but a big, hard prop.
Will be good to see saints v leeds next year if you do sign hi as he and perry have had a long on going fued going on and add the tension between perry and peacock should make good watching.

| The other interesting point in the report is that GH says that we got pretty close to the amount of money we wanted for Eastwood.

Which is exactly what we need IMO. Takes some of the pressure of JP going forward.

That's nowt! perry ran off with clint newtons girlfriend/wife and they were best mates!! Massive massive fall out. That's the main reason Newton left oz. kr are gonna go out their way to knock perrys head off! That should be good to watch
