| The rumours doing the rounds was that McDermott would come to the Rhinos primarilly as assistant coach for 2011 but with a possible view of taking over from Bluey in 2012 when his current deal runs out <and if he doesn't get a further contract for 2012> |

Well from what I've been told Bluey isn't the most popular person around Headingley, and there's more to Poching and Cummins' departure than meets the eye.

Was told something similar. Poaching in particular wanted to stay and has been somewhat "forced out." Never know to what extent these things are true though. |

I'm sure he did want to stay. He's got a relatively low pressure job at probably the biggest club in the game, why would he want to leave voluntarily?
Clearly the heirarchy at Leeds believe they can get someone else in to do a better job however, so it's so long and thanks for all the fish. |

Sorry no insider gossip from me on this one.
Just a thought that GH feels Bluey is more important to the team than maybe Willie and Fran.
Then again it could be they would cost less to get rid of then Bluey. 
FWIW I would rather have Bluey than McDermott as coach. |

Bluey was out of contract at the end of this year and only re-signed a few week ago.
