| Last night and THE shirt ....
As it was for charity then surely they missed out on a huge pile of wonga by not putting a pink shirt on Ronnie , getting him (and the team) to sign it , then auctioning it after the game .
I was disappointed to see him not wearing one . I'd have had a big bid at it .
Thoughts ..

I believe that 'most' of the players shirts from last night will be hitting eBay very soon (tonight maybe).

I think that's disgraceful, I do hope that JJB himself will not be profiting from this transaction, if he is then maybe he should use that big daft lads brain for once and think about what and who the shirt was issued for - although having said that the seller appears to be the Leeds CF & A Co (cheques made payable to Leeds RUFC ) which only makes things worse IMO.
Its very easy on eBay to nominate a charity for your proceeds to go to, Paypal do all the work and there are plenty of cancer support charities registered as recipients on there.
Someone has missed a big opportunity to continue the ethos behind the shirt and instead decided to profit from the very serious issue of male cancer, no wonder so many men are affected by prostate cancer when profiteering is put before fund raising - bloody disgraceful, I hope those who bought the shirt now wonder what the real reason behind it was - raise £5 a shirt for mens health charities or just make some mid-season profits ?
I do hope that Andy Scott reads this and proves me wrong by editing the auction and donating 100% of the sale, and of all the subsequent player shirts that they sell on ebay (yes we're looking at you Mr Senior), to a mens health charity, email me if you want to know how to do it on ebay.

| Looks like a few of the players are doing it so hopefully it is for the right reason.
Interesting that Smith only has bids of £50 while Senior is up to £112

I too hope that its for "the right reason".
However it is so, so easy to make your eBay item a Charity Sale with full logo's from your own choice of charity and the charity's own endorsement statement, that it makes you wonder why they haven't just ticked the box and done it - you get a free listing (usually) and your charity can usually claim Gift Aid from a UK purchaser, if any of them offer the excuse of "oh I'll just give the money to the charity" then frankly I'll find it hard to believe - tick the frikkin box and lets see those shirts raising money for the purpose they were designed for.
Just in case anyone at the club has never heard of Charitable Sales, have a read of this and do the right thing rlhttps://pages.ebay.co.uk/ebayforcharity/sell.htmlrl
Having just done a very simple search from the link on the right hand side of that page (above) I've easily found several mens health charities who are supported by eBay and several who specifically deal with prostate cancer.

| Totally agree. Nobody should be selling these for profits. It does say on the listing that 'a percentage of the final sale price will go to charity' but this isn't good enough.
All the money should go to Cancer Research.

That has just been added today at 11.55 - glad to see someone at the club has a conscience after reading this.
But I agree, its still not good enough, these are player issue shirts, they will command a premium from collectors and someone within the club is selling them at that premium using the club's bank account to collect the money.
Given the original stimulus for this special edition shirt was the untimely death from cancer of one of the clubs best and most popular servants, given that the whole advertising campaign around this shirt was to promote mens health and cancer concerns specifically (or so they said) then the very least that should happen is that the whole of the proceeds should be donated to a suitable charity in the name of John Holmes rather than an individual at the club (or the club as a business) profiteering.
There is a well defined route to take on eBay so that all of us can be absolutely certain that this is happening and I've already highlighted that route - the addition of the comment on that eBay listing at 11.55 this morning simply highlights the fact that the initial listings were for personal profit only and that the main concern is still for personal profit with an undefined amount begrudgingly given to a charity.
Frankly I'm ashamed that the club I have supported since 1966 should stoop so low.

| Come on Leeds Rep/Official. Come out on here and declare that all money raised from the Pink shirt sales are going to be donated to charity.
However much they raise surely they won't miss it and would do the club's reputation no harm at all donating all the proceeds.
