Read it rlhererl.....

Warning for those 'ever-so-sensitive' Giants fans, it is probably a bit biased!

Whilst we were far from our best but the effort was a vast improvement from last week imo some weak defence for the Patrick and Lunt tries and i thought the officials dropped 2 howlers for both Hodgson tries.
I thought Mcshane was better than last week,Kylie ran and hit hard as did Peacock and Clarkson is looking really comfortable at this level.
Worrying to see Ablett go off injured and i think Kirke and Smith were awful defensively.
We won that's the main thing and hopefully we can build on that for next week and the likes of Burgess,Kylie and Ali will be better for the run out.

To me, Bentham was a bit picky on us, but we got away with a couple of very forward looking passes. Swings and roundabouts, I suppose.

With regards to the two Huddersfield tries in the second half, my first instinct when seeing Lee Smith leave the ball that really needed to be dealt with was that it was a try, however the reaction of the players makes me really want to see that one again. It was close anyway and what Smith's play deserved.
I'm pretty sure there was nothing wrong with the second Hodgeson try, looked like it went backwards to me.

I thought Smiths boot had touched it and it was dead on the in goal line and was expecting a drop out but i'm sure it definately wasn't a try and until Thaler gave it Hodgson didn't even appeal.
For the 2nd one the pass was in line where we stand and i personally thought it was a clear knock on and have seen so many of them given as such.
I'll be happy to admit i'm wrong though when i see boots 'n' all the tries.

The number of forward passes which were allowed should be an embarrassment for Mr Thaler, other than that he went pretty well

Soft tackling and a basic mistake on clearing a kick lead to us conceding too many points again, three goes to get a drop goal summed it up for me, almost like we are avoiding scoring points

Salford comment is spot on!

The thing that puzzles me re-forward passes tonight is are the touch judges seeing and calling them only for Thaler to ignore them? or are they all ignoring them and are that blind?

Looked like his thigh to me mate.
He was trying to jog up and down the touch line late in the 2nd half with his thigh heavily strapped.

I was stood on the western terrace exactly in line with it. It was well in, maybe a foot, not the metre that Broughtook the kick from mind. It was almost surreal how it happened.

Actually quite a neutral match report.

Sounds like it could have gone either way. Leeds did what they do well which is not give up until the hooter goes.

Based on the Wigan V Warrington match Leeds will win nothing this year.

Yet despite all our injuries/loss of form we've beaten both including the "double" over Wire!
I wouldn't base the buisness end of the season on 1 friday night game in mid-july very naive at best.

What concerns me more regarding the Hodgson try was the fact as Hodgson apparently scored the try the touch judge was already waving his flag and indicating a tap 20 restart yet the ref ignored this
