| Already touched on slightly in the other thread but I think it deserves its own.
Present day or historically. Not necessarily dirty but can be if you like that kind of player.
Apparently it's Les Boyd. Who do you think it is/was? I think the fella in my sig was a tough competitor.
What's your favourite scrap during a game or the dirtiest challenge?
One scrap at Headingley springs to mind for me v Widnes when Izzard walked for it but I'm sure there are many more examples from here and overseas.
Anyone remember Tamati clothes lining Les Dyl in the challenge cup tie v Widnes at Headingley.

I'm pretty sure John Holmes is aware of Chris Arkwright.
Hard or dirty?
Actually, Holmes took a lot of punishment so he was a toughie.

| I dont really class people like Les Boyd or Tamati hardmen because they were just thugs.
People like Jim Mills and Vince Karalius were true hard men

No disrespect to Mills intended, but I'm sure his career record of 13-odd sendings off contained the odd act of thuggery.

| Brian mcdermott in recent times was a hard nut, remember when he floored about 3 of our lads. Shane webkie and gordan talis were also fairly hard and the latterfairly dirty

| Kevin Ward and Keith England, were too very uncompromising hard players.

| Brian Lockwood. Played for Widnes, Hull KR, Castleford, Canterbury-Bankstown, Balmain, and of course Great Britain, part of the 1972 world cup squad and winner of Lance Todd Trophy in 1980 for Hull KR.

| I remember a fight during an academy game quite a few moons ago where every man on the pitch was involved and it spilled into the South Stand, that was quite tasty
may have been against Halifax

| agreeing with bell. glanville, ward, mcdermott (semi final @ hudds when fought 3 at once)
historically was tony fisher hard or dirty?
dennis hartley?
the widnes packs that contained tamati, sorensen, gorley, moriarty et al always trod a fine line between thuggery & hardness
we had the fartown jp semi won 8-2 all penalties when gregory ws playing for them

| Everyone knows the dirtiest player ever is Ryan Bailey.
Gary Mason played a short while for the London Broncos Academy, wouldn't have fancied taking him on in a fight.

Three punches and he rightly started walking before the ref even got his hand in his pocket! He WAS the Marines' heavyweight boxing champion, mind!
Hard men for Bulls in the SL era - I'd always have Sir Bernard Dwyer up there with the best of them.
