if he is surplus to requirements at Hull KR (or basically not good enough) its a bit of a kick in the teeth to saints fans

Good signing IMO.

A big, experienced prop. Adds depth, is a healthy improvement on Hargeaves, takes pressure off Jammer and comes cheaply. I understand we're still looking to sign another forward too.

This signing helps take some of the weight of Graham's shoulders. Playing Fozz should allow Puletua to drop to his preffered role of second row. With Moore coming back home, it means the pack should be a lot more physical and skilful next year.

Fozz can also help the likes of Frodsham, Dixon and Maggenis come on along with the remainder of the young pack that recently hammered their Leeds counterparts.

It is by no means a showcase signing - nor is it meant to be - but it will be highly effective in my opinion.

I think his heart is at Saints and he will return to better form next year in a Saints jersey. That said, what it does show his Saints potential youth issues in the forwards and unlike Leeds, whom have moved to pick up some young talent from elsewhere, Saints are struggling and he is a short term desperation type move. If I was a Saints fan it would not be the signing of Fozzard as such that would the issue, but the fact they have had to sign him!

Nothing but average! The bloke never did have much skill, now that he is getting old he naturally has less energy which results in losing the collison.
