| If he does sign for Cas, I wonder what Powell, Orr & Sheridan (all ex-half backs) see in him that our coaches don't?
I guess he comes cheap.

Two of those played for Sheffield with his dad, so probably that and nothing else. he is a championship player at best.

it was worth a gamble, i suppose when we signed him, nobody expected Moon to move to Half, Myler to sign, then walker to push through, and we still have lilley in the mix. just no place for him to progress.

| After never looking like making the grade at Leeds it wouldn't surprise me to see him doing much better at Cas with 3 good ex-half backs on the coaching staff.

i'm sure he will be Albert Goldthorpe winner within 2 years and man of steel within 3, clearly been held back at Leeds by mcdermott. (joke)
i am sure if he does go well at Cas its as much to do with at Leeds he has had Mcguire, Burow, moon, Sutcliffe, lilley all in front of him. next year he would have Myler moon, lilley, Sutcliffe and walker or Golding as back up halves at a push, at cas he will have Gale, Ellis, as first choice (roberts is going to full back)and then that other young Kid (name escapes me) so he his probable 3-4 out of four rather than 5-6 choice out of 6 at leeds. its probably a no brainer for him closer to first team rugby at Cas than leeds. plus leeds will have Burrow in coaching set up next year a much better player than Orr or Sheridan ever where and a highly rated coaching prospect.

Trueman is the youngster at Cas. Roberts looks like he'll be FB but still could easily go Eden or revert to that of Cas had HB injuries.
Think his chances of game time are pretty much similar to what they were here. Leeds signed him apparently as a favour to Sheffield, think Cas just signed him because Powell is obsessed with turning former Leeds players who never made it here into SL players after we ditched him as coach.

We did not ditch Powell, that's become a popular myth, he walked decided he was not up to the job, so GH brought Tony smith in, as for turning former players into super league players, who exactly is that, can only be gale who went through 3 clubs after us before he ended up at cas, and mcshane who went to Wakey first, and played in super league pretty regular for us including winning WCC against Manley.

He was asked "to step aside" for Smith to come in by GH & return after 2yrs getting experience elsewhere that was straight from his own mouth.

IF he becomes a regular at the Tigers and is successful on the pitch questions will be asked, but it remains a big if

| Just to burst that urban myth that Leeds paid Sheffield a load of money as a favour from GH, his contract like all Sheffield players at the end of 2015 was effectively ripped up by the club, so the grand sum of naff all was paid.
