What happened?

Gave a try (he was video ref) in last few minutes even though the try scorer was 5 meters offside

He awarded Hull a late video ref decision that won them the game. The issue was that the try scorer was was in an offside position, in front of the kicker, the kicker didn't play him on side, the ball bounced, the full back didn't touch it and the Hull player didn't give him 10m. Basically, Ganson made a huge cock-up an awarded the try. It is fair to say that Ganson position as ref's controller is now untenable & unless the rest of the RL world is missing something, then he should be offering his resignation with immediate effect.

I think, unlike his last Millenium Magic cock-up, where he made a poor call in not going to the video as a man in the middle, this error is unfortunately far more serious as he was in the video ref seat. Thaler referred it up to Ganson & he just appears to have made a massive blatant error. He got it wrong & I think this has to be viewed as a very serious error by the RFL Board & would suggest Mr Ganson might have to jump of be pushed!!!

I agree. I think it's far, far worse than Tanseygate. If the on-field ref had given it in real time I wouldn't have been too critical, but for the video ref to give that is unforgivable.

IMO it is ridiculous for him to be the video ref and in charge of the officials. Asking for trouble

He can't be paid enough to be a Referees controller and must need the Video Referees money!

If he's still in charge at the end of next week i'll be surprised
