Poor form indeed.
According to club it was maintenance planned all along. Surely if that was the case they'd have announced it as being closed when tickets went on sale? Knowing they had this game on surely if it was planned it would be timed better to avoid next Friday? I smell a rat!

Work appears to going on at the two areas affected by safety issues at the moment. When I spoke to one of the "suits" at the ground today he said the areas were undergoing remedial work and the entire South Stand would be open for the Hull.k.R game.

All the work was going on in both corners, the "suit" said both areas would be open for the first league game (H.K.R). I'm chuffed to be honest, I think the old stand is a lot more atmospheric that what the downsized version would have been. I know there's a few stanchions that can impede your view but it has an atmosphere all of its own now most of the other clubs have soulless identikit stadiums. |
