| I know the OPTA stats are to be taken with a pinch of salt but did Achurch seriously not make a single carry on Friday? If that's true I can't see how he is getting a place in the nineteen before Cameron Smith who was solid in an admittedly short spell.

Guarantee if he did play he would not drop the same about of ball - not if wanted a future at an elite club.
His desire to make a career at this level would concentrate his mind to ensure a repeat of Friday didn't occur!!

I think he will likely play on the wing so i fully expect Brough to target him again after the bag full of change they got from Last friday doing it.
Yes, i agree with you and would imagine he will spend a lot of this week going through high kick drills in preparation for it and will be determined to handle it.One player he can look to is Handley, he has suffered a few set backs through last year and obviously the WCC howler, but has learned, and responded fantastically to the point he looks our most assured back line player right now.

Will be interesting to see if they do use Briscoe, has the utility factor and did play at hooker before so might get a bench spot. Maybe even at centre if Keinhorst is moved up to 2nd row for Zero-Carries-Achurch.

| Smith isn't in the squad. Looks like Briscoe and Baldwinson unfortunately to miss out with Achurch keeping his place.

Weren't looking particularly for Achurch when counting Golding's tackles for another thread but did spot one attempted carry. Unfortunately the pass was behind him and he knocked on when reaching back to drag it in - so nearly made one carry. As I say though I weren't checking on Achurch and haven't reviewed any of the second half including his cameo.

I genuinely can't think of a carry he made, I also can't remember him being the first man into a tackle in his first spell. 2nd or 3rd man and then having a rest at second marker.
Most feeble display I've seen from any player in a Leeds shirt for some time. Not interested.
Somewhere "Big Mitch" has a safety deposit box with some incriminating photos of somebody.

| I agree comments re Achurch. Really is like to see us playing Briscoe in the centre and moving Keinhorst to SR with Ferres taking Achurch place on the bench. But sadly that won't happen.
