| A few observations on players with Leeds connections
Richie Mathers, some good runs out of defence and some good, long passes, always susceptible to an absolute howler of a mistake though
Kyle Amor , not a bad game, still don't think he is ready for a long run in the Rhinos team just yet. Think next season could be make or break for him with Leeds, hope he makes it though.

Mariano looked head and shoulders above anything else on the field - he would be a really good signing. Amor doesn't seem to hit in the tackle - better going forward though.

| Amor strikes me as someone who can put in a top class performance when needed. You only have to look at the England v Cumbria game to see this. But I’m with ferdy on this one – I don’t rate him much atm. His good performances seem few and far between.

| Amor cost Wakey a place in the challenge cup it was him who conceeded the penalty to tie the game, I'm all for getting youth over old aussies but errors like that combined with his defence leaves little to be desired at the minute.

| To be fair he’s gone well. He has made a few costly errors but isn’t that what this loan spell is about for Leeds. Allowing Amor to get some SL experience and use it to iron out the faults in his game.
As for Mariano, he’s crap, stay well clear. Jeremy Smith and Motu Tony are where it’s at.

His loss of the ball for Cas's first try was a bit embarrassing too. Poor kid...some painfull lessons learned (one hopes).

| Amor has a lot of potential. He seems good going forward and has a good engine. His defense needs some work, but I think he could be worth persevering with.
FWIW here are the opta stats compared to our other props so far this season.

| From what I've seen of him this season, Amor seems to be going pretty well. He's much better this season than he was last, and hopefully will be better next season than this. There are very few props who arrive, like Fielden or Sam Burgess, fully-formed at age 18. Leeds seem to be managing Amor and Ambler's development very well. Again only referring to what I've seen, Amor seems to be the better prospect of the two.

See for me the better prospect out of the two is ambler, I thought he showed up well last year when he got a game. But I suppose that's why places like this work because we all have our own views.

It was Dale Morton who stripped the ball and gave away the penalty.
