| ......to make me think this season is not a lost cause.
We will all be frustrated by the error count, the ill-judged offloads to opposing players, the general sloppy play. But there were glimpses of quality Leeds play, particularly in the last 15. We look very much the side from last year (in terms of careless mistakes AND good passages of play) but I'm willing to put up with a similar campaign if it means we can try a few new players and combinations.
We were outplayed tonight by a Warrington team whose injury situation is not unlike our own. They seemed to get the rub of the green but they were by far the better side and worthy winners.
I was surprised that Rhys Evans got MoM, thought Myler or Briers would get it.

| I couldn't give breirs it. His play acting is pathetic and should be in the premier league not super league. Having said that he did play well he just spoils it for me with things like diving when he isn't touched. By far the better team won tonight. It is going to be a long year. It's all very well saying it's a transition year for the players but it's alot of money to be shelling out not to even be entertained!

| I'd agree, it's disappointing and we need to cut out the unnecessary mistakes and silly plays but considering we only had 2 props I'm not overly disheartened.

You're being a bit precious, he was fouled just hammed it up so the ref would see it.
Briers loves it, always has a cheeky look when he does it, he just plays smart there's no cheating if you're already fouled.

Would that be a player from the Warrington Youth System, that is basically the old Leeds Youth System that was allowed to move lock, stock and barrell to Cheshire a couple of years ago ?

| We lost by 2 scores to Quins and 3 to wire the same amount of trys we gifted both teams in the respective games. cut out the daft uncalled for errors and we arnt far off even with our D been poor. Cut out the errors and daft play and work on the D and we are back in business. But we need to stop playing fancy dan stuff when we arnt in a position to do so. We want the magic without the graft. More graft required! 100% more!

| We scored a lot at the end of both those games when we'd already lost. That definitely should not be allowed to put any gloss on the last two games.

| Talking of Joel Monaghan, his performance once again begs the question; why didn't we sign him as a replacement for Senior?

I agree to a point but both those teams will be looking not to conceed at any point no matter how far infront. And teams know Leeds are never really out of a game. Plus it shows our lads played till the end when it would be easy for them and to our haters pleasure for the lads to give in.
There is a ton of work to do but it's not a lost cause, there is tons of real quality in that team.
time is on our side. I'm not happy about things or deluded. I just have faith in the lads, brain mac and GH to get it right.

| We lost by 16 points, away from home, with a seriously injury ravaged squad (including 3 of the 4 SL standard props), to likely title contenders, in what was only our 4th match under an entirely new coaching structure.
Quick... let's sell all the players and sack the coach.

I wasn't! It was obvious he was going to get it. What Stevo does is pick his MoM in the first 20 minutes, then talks them up all game, pointing out anything remotely good they do. If you've ever watched a match knowing who the MoM is you'll REALLY notice how much he does it.
Don't get me wrong, the kid had a good game, as most of the Wire team.
Me & the Mrs now play a game, "Spot Stevo's MoM", it's a good laugh actually... you have to declare your "locked in answer" and you get however many minutes left on the clock in points. You'll normally find you can get it right only 20 minutes in! (That's a 60 pointer!! )

Forget about the score as it does not represent the game due to the blow out in our favour at the end when Warrington had already won comfortably and put the cue on the rack.
Focus on the performance and tell me if you are happy with that, or the other games already this season. We have some very fundamental problems at the moment, and whilst they can be fixed, I question if we can fix it by continuing playing in the same vein.
