| What has happened to him? Showed flashes of potential a few years back but when the going gets tough he disappears.

| Had no chances in attack as we rarely went right hand side. Defended really well until Thurston bumped off him.
Only an idiot would expect a centre to shine in those weather conditions......fortunately you're an idiot

| Didn't seem to go missing in the big games last season, and certainly put a shift in tonight.

| England haven't produced great centres in a long time, the backs in SL compared to the NRL are woeful... he would struggle to get a spot over there so you can't expect him to dominate against a good NRL backline.

| I personally thought he was pretty good.
Thought it odd to choose to throw him so many flat passes and use him for crash ball when he skills are his elusiveness and offloading.

Your right mate he is clearly rubbish, thats why he was in the world 13 last year, didnt see any posts about how the other centre James Roberts went missing last night??
Typical attitude, bet you didn't think Hodgeson (who was average over here) would make it down under? or greg Eden FFS!?

Match winning try in. Challenge cup semi last year, assisted towards Tom Briscoe 5 try haul in c cup final. Brilliant outside break and inside ball to McGuire in G Final plus was making over 30 tackles a game thru final stages of last season as effectively defending as a second row. By time played for England was knackered. Tonight they heavily marked Watkins and ferries as main threats. You are a bit of a joker

| That's the key. Some players do go missing in big games. Others are just made to look ordinary by their opponents as the whole team struggles.

I think there are many much more apt names for this particular pillock than a WUM though.

| Him & Handley are huge. I don't know what the latter has been on over winter but I could do with a some. Both seem to lack self belief though.

| I think our weakness this season will be at halfback. we have two new young lads who though high on talent do not yet have the experience to run a game, and to get the best situations for our dangerous players.
At many times over the last few years we have struggled to get Watkins in the right amount of space for him to do damage. This is not a new problem.
I am happy for us to have a bit of a lean year but persevere with Lilley and sutcliffe who I think have the ability to make it given the opportunity
