Didn't seem to go missing in the big games last season, and certainly put a shift in tonight.

England haven't produced great centres in a long time, the backs in SL compared to the NRL are woeful... he would struggle to get a spot over there so you can't expect him to dominate against a good NRL backline.

Have to agree somewhat, he was very poor tonight.

Thought it odd to choose to throw him so many flat passes and use him for crash ball when he skills are his elusiveness and offloading.

That's the key. Some players do go missing in big games. Others are just made to look ordinary by their opponents as the whole team struggles.

Him & Handley are huge. I don't know what the latter has been on over winter but I could do with a some. Both seem to lack self belief though.

I think our weakness this season will be at halfback. we have two new young lads who though high on talent do not yet have the experience to run a game, and to get the best situations for our dangerous players.

At many times over the last few years we have struggled to get Watkins in the right amount of space for him to do damage. This is not a new problem.

I am happy for us to have a bit of a lean year but persevere with Lilley and sutcliffe who I think have the ability to make it given the opportunity
