| I'm a Wigan fan and i wanted to know what you all think. I dont want to jynx it but ive never been this confident before a game against your lads for years. I think Sinfield and Peacock did carry your team for big parts of last year and we're seeing this is true now you are struggling. Also I think your recruitment has been poor and you've just signed journeymen.
Of course, the Huddersfield game could give you momentum now and this is one positive for you.
Anyway, im confident how are you all feeling?

Personally I think you're having a laugh. It's a transitional season coupled with a boat load of key injuries. We're missing a hooker (although you will suffer more in that department as McIlorum is gone til 2017). I think we're fortunate that Wigan's halfbacks aren't the best either. Again, something that will hurt you this year. Lilley is developing fast, and I dare say has a better football brain than Williams. As for how we are feeling? Write us off at your peril. We all know what happened in October. A game you SHOULD have walked.

You should be confident given Wigan's home record, would be strange if you weren't. You're wrong about Sinfield and Peacock carrying the team for large parts last year, other years yes but not so much 2015. No doubt they stepped up at the end and the cup games throughout the season but for the regular season they were almost the support act to the likes of Cuthbertson, Hardaker, McGuire, Watkins, Ward, Aiton. I doubt many Leeds fans would've named either two in their top 5/7 performers last year.
Even with them gone we would've been 3 wins from 4 and positioned comfortably had we had Falloon and McGuire play all games as the Wire and Catalans defeat were by such narrow scorelines....Widnes was a day even Sinfield and Peacock couldn't have rescued.
Will be interesting to go to the DW with Wigan minus McIlorum though. Whenever we go there or Magic weekend he's usually the key performer for you guys and manages to knock us out our stride.

I know this is a troll thread and i shouldn't feed you, but this is just hilarious! Ferres (In his prime and Current England backrower), Galloway (Rep player and NRL regular still only 30) Falloon ( NRL regular but banned so we fortunately got the opportunity to sign him, nobody really knows he hasn't played yet) Mullally (project signing, still young for a prop and has showed potential).
Wigan signings - Tomkins (big money, failed in NRL and appears to be crocked), Willie Isa (that World Class ex Widnes player.......)

| I watched Wigan vs Catalans and thought it was perhaps the poorest Wigan team for a very long time.
There were no players that stood out - it was very one dimensional and boring to watch.
Kudos for stringing the wins together though, but god knows how as most of the Wigan squad are garbage.
There is not one Wigan player i would swap for a Leeds player (at full strength)

Without running through the full teams. There isn't one team in the league that wouldn't want Bateman in their side.

| Maybe no players is a bit strong, but I don't think I'd swap any of our backs for yours. Possibly Manfredi for Briscoe based on age, and Tomkins if he'd play in the halves.
Out of your pack I'd have Mickey Mac and Bateman, but that's it.
I think in general Wigan have relied (and it has worked) on their structure, rather than awesome individuals, that's why their youngsters have stepped up and why on paper there's no one that I'm super envious of.

Obviously without trying to be biased, I think Clubb is the best impact forward in the league coming off the bench. He is a tank. Can't comment on Falloon as no bugger has seen him so can't compare him with Mickey Mac. I would agree with Manfredi and Briscoe but that is a close one, I think Manfredi would get the nod because of his size difference and power on kick returns. If Sam is the player he was i have him over Hardaker all day long. If i had to merge a team it would look something like :-
1. Tomkins
5. Hall 2. Manfredi
4. Moon 3. Watkins
6. McGuire 7. Williams
13. O'Loughlin
12. Bateman 11. Farrell
10. Flower 9.???? 8.Cuthbertson
14. Garbutt
15. Singleton
16. Clubb
17. Lilley
EDIT :- That could even be an England team taking Moon and Garbutt out. Clearly Burgess and co would have something to say about that though

You must be joking! why would you have Tomkins instead of Hardaker. Tomkins has already peaked and is slowly on a downward spiral as a pose to Hardaker who had a class year last season and is only going to get better.

Why would i have Tomkins? Well your assumption that he has peaked is based on nothing. Presuming he comes back a better player with a fraction of the pace he had he walks all over Hardaker as he has done all his career. His attack is 10x better, his link up play is 10x better, his ability to dummy players is 10x better and his positional sense is 10x better. All in all, a much better player. Ask the England coaches who constantly overlook Hardaker. A Man Of Steel player who was very easily found out in the New Zealand tests. Sam may not have had as much as an impact as he had in SL but just saying he brings back 2 years of good NRL coaching to add to his game. He would be even better. To write him off without seeing him play is folly to do.
