| This kid has been great season. What do you guys think will happen when Ryan Hall is back? Could RH potentially now move to the 2nd row?

| He's a good prospect but either Hall or Briscoe come straight back into the team when they're fit.

Fair point, maybe not this season but what about next?
I think he's beyond getting dual registered or the reserves as he appears to be SL ready.
Plus I think Hall would make a cracking Second Row forward.

| By the time Briscoe is ready to return Handley will have played somewhere in the region of 15/16 games straight (providing he stays injury free) with him being targeted most of those games I imagine. Would probably be starting to see some effects phyiscally of this, especially if you tried to keep selecting him after Briscoe was declared fit.....they'd be another dozen games left depending on cup/playoffs by that point, would be a big ask to have him go 20/25 games in his proper debut season.
Next season I agree is interesting because you can't fault the first choice three quarters we've got. He might just have to be patience and wait his turn. He might be left kicking his heels for a long time or a back might go down for a decent period of time. You never know with injuries, both our starting wingers went injury free last year when we had BJB in reserve and we 'rested' at times so we could play him.....he left and now both starters go down for sustained periods. Last year it was both starting hookers that fell at the same time for a long time, it works out strange like that in sports.
By 2017 it'll be interesting to see how we line up 1-5. You'd imagine Leeds would be keen to have Watkins and Hall be one-club-guys and both seem content here. Briscoe signed a 5 year deal I believe so would still be a few years left. Hardaker will be here imo providing he stays out of trouble.....that leaves Moon who I'm not sure has too many years left on his deal and couod we'll be one of those Aussies who are quite happy to return back home after a certain period. We've also got Golding to try and fit in somewhere too.
The Hall playing further inside debate has been discussed before and what I said before was simple. People are looking at it from an attack point of view as he could do very well further infield......but defensively I can't for the life of me see him being good enough to play 2nd row, even centre would be a push.

| Actually printer, the best game I have ever seen Hall have defensively was when he played in the pack one game a few years back. He actually looked more comfortable defending there.
I would certainly put him in the pack. Not sure whether it would be this season, but you have already given the reasons above why it should be considered for future years.

| Hall in the pack? Best case scenario Westwood or Asotasi, worst case scenario Tame Toupou.
Seems risky for a guy who is amongst the best in the world where he is. Briscoe is to me a natural centre it's just no one has ever taught him to be one. Would far rather see Briscoe developed as a centre than Hall moved in to the pack.

| God no. Hall is one of the best wingers in the world why would we push him into the second row? Are you Brian Noble in disguise!
The fact that he is big enough doesn't mean you should just shove him in the pack. His size coupled with his pace (and skill, bravery etc) are what makes him a great winger.
He may move to the pack in his twilight but not for many years.
As for Handley, he is covering well but he is what, 4 games in? You're suggesting moving one of the best wingers in the world to an unfamiliar position to accommodate him? Wow.

| It always makes me chuckle when I see things about twighlight of career.
Hall is 28 this year. Very rare there is wingers still playing at the top clubs here or NRL when into their 30's. He is already approaching the twighlight as a winger.
Whether Handley is the replacement, we won't know until he has the shirt, but Hall isn't going to be playing wing unlikely after the end of his current contract.

Stand to be corrected, but didn't he make his debut off the bench and play in the back row?
Can't remember him playing in the pack too many times after that mind.
I'm old enough and daft enough to remember Leeds trying the same thing with Jim Fallon in one game (Leigh at home?). Looked absolutely shattered after about ten minutes. The impact and work-rate is massively different in the forwards to what you experience on the wing. That said, Hall's defensive frailty is against players with good footwork when he tends to grab. Having players running straight at him might actually make it easier for him to line them up and put a shot on.

Joel Monaghan and Pat Richards are 33 and doing alright. Like Hall, their game isn't based on speed.

| No chance i would move him, he is amongst the very best in his position so leave him there. As said above,Hall's game is not built round speed it us mainly power based and i can see him continuing being one of the very best wingers for at least 5 years yet.
Its good to have a good lad like Handley come in and prove himself though and he has proved he can be trusted as our first three quarter cover player going and should get plenty of game time as things are, players always get injured. At just 18 im sure he will be more than happy with that role for the foreseeable.

I'll give you Monaghan. But Richards is in for his kicking, not for his wing play.

It wasn't his debut I don't think. I think it was against Warrington aswell.
I also remember Jim Fallon doing it, and funny enough I thought he had a good game there too.
I agree entirely with your last couple of sentences, hence why my opinion was that he looked comfortable defending in the middle when he was tried there.

| As has been said Handley has done well but it's early doors and he's still not finished his physical development. Looks very comfortable out there, my instinct would be to get Briscoe & Hall back in when we can (as good as Handley has been I think those two would have been better).
Definitely not DR next year, needs to go on loan for a full-time outfit where he'll be getting in the 1st team, albeit where we have a recall clause in case of needing cover. Wakefield will be playing Championship rugby next year, so quite possibly there.
