Assuming we're still without Briscoe, Hall, Leuluai, S. Ward & R. Ward I'd go with:

1. Hardaker
3. Watkins
12. Ablett
4. Moon
27. Handley
18. Sutcliffe
13. Sinfield
19. Singleton
9. Aiton
17. Cuthbertson
11. Jones-Buchanan
16. Achurch
15. Delaney

7. Burrow
21. Walters
22. Yates
25. Mulhern

Widnes' pack isn't the biggest so I'd give JP a rest and let Danny have a week off too. Kev should be fresh after playing so few minutes recently so I'd bring him back in to do a full 80 from Scrum Half.

Ward for JJB with Jamie to the bench for Achurch/Walters if fit.

Long turnaround so no fatigue excuses in the pack.

You'd drop Handley and keep Watkins wasted on the wing?

If Hall is fit i would be tempted to keep Handley outside Moon and try Hall outside Watkins.

if Hall is not fit i would prefer Keinhorst in the threequarters to Ablett.

Sinfield as interchange hooker with Aiton...if at Burrow's expense then sadly so be it.

"The Golden Generation finally has its Golden Fleece! They have Wembley Cup Final winners medals to add to their collection." 23/08/2014:

When asked the other day on Twitter about when he'd return Hall said "Challenge Cup.....hopefully"

So don't expect him for this game.

Hardaker
Watkins
Keinhorst
Moon
Handley
Sutcliffe
McGuire
Cuthbertson
Aiton
Peacock
Delaney
Ablett
JJB

Sinfield
Singleton
Mulhern
Achurch

Even if Stevie Ward is ok to play I'd be tempted to give him an extra week off after the huge tackling numbers he's put in so far this year. With Ablett, Achurch and Delaney being more than suitable for this match for the 2nd row slots (providing Delaney is ok with his concussion, even then I'd be tempted to bring Walters into the 17)

That's what i thought....i think maybe Rhinoms might have made a typo in naming Hall and not Handley.

I'd be tempted to rest Cuthbertson for this game and maybe Aiton too.

Need to get back on the horse and pick up a win. Widnes are a different proposition at home to what they are away.

Same team, except if he's fit Stevie Ward comes back into the 17 for Burrow.

I'd rest JP and Mags as they've been key players for us so far this season but we do have cover for them - unlike for Aiton, where we have no fit out-and-out replacement hooker.

With regard to Keinhorst, was anonymous against Giants and with JJB, Ablett, Delaney, Achurch and Walters fit we've a choice between playing Abbo in the centres and leaving one of them out. Personally I think not only is Ablett a better centre than Keinhorst but I'd also rather give Walters some extra game time given he actually looks (unlike Keinhorst) to have a long-term future with us.

Plus we've just come off a really tough run of games and then have to front up for Huddersfield in the cup plus Hull KR & Wigan at Magic Weekend, so I'd be looking to rotate some players (Aiton is next top of the list) and give some of the squad members a chance to stake a claim.

Sinfield (C)

I think you are being a bit harsh on Keinhorst worlds apart, The lad did not do to bad and if he was anonymous so were a lot more. His first game for a while what excuse do you trot out for the rest. I thought Ablett being back in the forwards had his best game for a while and was one of the few to put himself about.
We really missed Stevie ward who has been the outstanding player this year

Don't think we need to rest anyone after a 10 day turnaround. Get this one won to solidify our lead in the league, back it up in the cup, then the time to rest a couple of players would be KR at home.
