| How confident are you about the Wakefield game on Saturday? I am getting less and less confident as the days go by about a Leeds win.
We havnt been knocked out of the playoffs away from home since 2002, so if we beat Wakey on Saturday.........
If we do win would you rather face Wigan or Catalan or does it not really matter?

Very confident about beating Wakefield - plus it's the playoffs so we'll probably start to play like we're interested.

Pretty confident. I don't feel we have much to lose. If Wakey beat us then they'll have saved us from being humiliated by one of the better teams. But as I said, I'm fairly confident it won't come to that.
And if we do win, I'd love to go to the pie dome. In that circumstance I'd be more confident of a win than I am for Saturday.

| I'm confident (for some reason - however deluded) Although I don't think we'll win the GF this time, I certainly think we'll give it a good crack & it will take a very good team to beat us. Yes, the packs knocking on a bit, yes we're looking more & more disjointed each season, but there's enough quality & experience in the 17 to make a mark. This team seem quite precious of the SL trophy.
Without meaning to sound arrogant I'd be amazed if Wakey turn us over. That WOULD be a definate indication that there are problems behind the scenes. Not belittling what Wakefield have achieved but I reckon we'll take a must win play off match a lot more seriously than the weekly rounds.
As for the week after, well I guess it will be a trip to the South of France - unless they stun Wigan of course. I don't think it's possible for us to face Wigan next week, as if Catalan win we'll play the losers of Wire v Saints

Knackers. I'd be more confident of beating a demoralised Wigan than either Saints or Wires.

| I agree. Therefore I am painfully hoping Wigan win (ouch, that hurt).
Not ideal to have to travel to Perpignan, but on paper an easier challenge than either wire or saints. Then we can go to pie dome to inflict some misery & get to the GF.
It's that easy......honest!

It doesn't say much for the simplicity of the system when seasoned professionals need these intricacies pointing out.

If Leeds were to lose I can't see any way the coaching staff could hope to remain in post. Despite that tantalising prospect (not that it'd happen anyway) I totally expect a Leeds win and a reasonably comfortable one at that, twelve points plus.

| If Ali crashed over to win it that would probably sum the year up.

In this instance I think it may be more down to simplicity of the seasoned pro

| I've got a bad feeling about this one. Can't help but think we might get turned over.

| Reasonably confident of a result, but not a result that will inspire confidence.
I'm ready for the season to end, tbh. As others have suggested, the sooner that happens the more likely that the requisite changes are made to the first team and/or coaching staff.

| Be surprised if we did not win, I think last weeks performance at the giants will have resulted in a few rollockings from our coaching staff. Or at least one would hope that was the case. As I have commented on before ,these play off games are a huge test for Brian Mac if we go out early that would leave a big question mark over his abilities .

| A bit worried tbh, people are expecting a repeat of last year's playoff showing. Whilst last year we entered it under the radar, the spotlight is on us as heavily as it is the top 2 and worried the players are just expecting things to click come Saturday and forget they have to work hard to make it happen. Its got a slight feeling of Castleford 1999 and Warrington 2006 about it when we got unceremoniously dumped out at home.

It is no secret that Wakefield are very much my second team, but equally while I think we should and probably will win, I don't think losing to this side current Wakefield side would be overly surprising or indeed should be viewed as anything more than a loss to a team carrying great form into the play-offs. The defeat at Huddersfield is much worse for me because they have had an even worse end of season than us and we should have beaten them. Wakefield are the form side of the comp for me and their 7 from 7 record speaks for itself, and they are full of confidence. I was at the Wakey Saints game and although the score ended up being close, the score line flattered Saints who were very much second best to Wakey and were gifted two tries from very, very poor refs calls. The fact the Sykes had several attempts before landing the winning drop goal, while Saints couldn't get anywhere near drop goal range in the final 10, showed that they could and did dominate a good Saints side when it mattered!
I think, on form, these are side are more closely matched than people think, equally if we actual turn up we have the ability & class to beat them 20+ points.
