| I think Gary Hetherington needs to put his hand in his pocket to sign a new world class 6 and 7 for the seasons to come, as Dannie Maguire, Sir Kev and Rob come towards the end of their careers. I hope he does it sooner rather than later as I am sad to say it looks like Danny is coming towards the end of what has been a stellar career.
The new guns look good, but I have not seen a half back, Sooty will be good enough, but I see him as a loose forward. You only have to look at other SL clubs when half backs none effectual, look at Warrington at the start of the season. If we are to continue with our success, the half back issue is in my opinion the key. One that could kick field goals would be good!!

| What we need is someone like Andrew Dunemann. A solid team player who would enable the youngsters to be brought on alongside him without ever eclipsing them.

Sinfield is that player, and we should have TWO who the club feel are right for the future working with him and the team.
Unfortunately, I do think they have left it too late,NAND will have to buy to do the job to bring along.
And Him, we have a massive problem with the halfs. Your right on props too. But we have been far too stubborn with the halfs.

| Terrible to watch last night, against a team of Super League loanees and ex Rhinos players. Most of these players have only met each other for the first time in the last few months and yet they can easily outplay us, terrible.
What made it worse was to witness the demise of Danny McGuire. Shame to see him as a shadow of his former self. Given the captaincy you'd have thought he would organise the players around him but I counted 7 different 6th tackle kickers last night. He's lost his pace completely so he looks lost. With Sutcliffe never going to reach his standard it makes it our main priority for next term. Tim Smith showed him up and it was sad to see !!! It wassnt long ago we were told Stevie Ward is going to be the next Kevin Sinfield !! Kev and Robbie cannot continue forever so Hetherington needs to be planning now before anymore decent halves, Dobson Dureaux, Syned get snapped up

Regarding McGuire and the organising, yes it was lacking last night but if you're relying on one person to organise everything and everyone around them then you're in trouble anyways. When we've been successful it's because we've had Sinfield, McGuire, Burrow, Peacock, JJB, Webb, Senior, Diskin, Buderus etc all organising and leading.
Apart from McGuire and Peacock who did we have last night? None of the back 5 are real leaders or vocal enough (Hardaker is but was missing) and two of the forwards who should be in Delaney and Bailey weren't great last night, doesn't leave much after that.

That's an awful piece of excuse making.
McGuire, as is his way this season when things are going badly, hid. With Sinfield out of the side, he should have stepped into the void and taken over that job of taking the team around the park. The kind of job Smith was doing for Wakefield.
Instead, he just constantly shipped responsibility on to others.
That said, Sutcliffe was no better. The number of times he caught the ball standing still then just handed it straight on was ridiculous. He's got time to learn and improve though. McGuire isn't going to get any better.
It's time Leeds cut him loose, so he'll probably get another two year deal and the promise of a "job for life" from Hetherington. The CEO currently seems in thrall to what's left of the 2007-2009 side, and it's holding the club back.

Haha what garbage.
McGuire was poor last night but he never hid or passed responsibility onto others.

Really? Give me an example of his influence on the performance.
Frankly, you're the one spouting garbage as usual.

Didn't say he had an influence of proceedings, doesn't mean he hid though, just that he was poor.
Explain how he passed responsibility, name some incidents where it happened in different scenarios around the pitch?

| How many times on the last tackle did he cop out of the kicking option and give it to someone without a kicking game?
I counted at least three where he had time and space to kick himself but gave it to either Watkins or Moon to do so instead, despite it not being on to shift it through the hands.
He should have been in at first man, bossing the game in the way that Smith was doing for Wakefield. Instead he drifted in and out, going full sets without getting his hands on the ball.
That's not the actions of either a captain or a senior half-back IMO. It was set up for him to step up and take responsibility, and he failed miserably to do so.

So you've come up with that we shifted it to the centres on the 5th......a tactic we've been doing all season long even when Sinfield and Burrow were on the park.....ok good job there!

| If we were to go out and sign a half back i would look no further than Travis Burns as IMO he is the best 6 in SL without a doubt

| It has indeed been Leeds tactic all season long to pass wide on the 5th and have the centre put in a kick. That wasn't an indicator of poor half back play from either Sutcliffe or McGuire, that was a tactic. Everything else McGuire and Sutcliffe did was an indicator or a poor performance mind.
