| I never thought I would say this, but I really feel sorry for the supporters of Bradford. What a state the club is in. Last Thursday game, Leeds never really got out of first gear, it was like a pre season friendly, because the state of Bradford team was so poor. On this display London may well beat them. I use to love the Derbys 20,000 packed in and you could feel the passion. But on Thursday thoes few Bradford supporters who turned up, it was like they were going to a funneral. I would also suspect there was far less than the 10,000 gate.
The game needs strong clubs, Bradford are in a mess and the stories coming out of the club is that the new owner has no money so if they do stay up, they will be in a mess next year. I wonder if the RFL should have put the club out of its misery and allowed the supporters to start it agin.

| Not to be petty but the attendance was 10, 106, that's what the BBC say anyway.

| Whilst i agree it must hard and heart breaking for the fans we should know after our own turbulent and uncertain period and in my own case i went through the same with LUFC aswell.
However years of serious mis-management ,spending money they never had and the fact its been going on for years now i find it hard to have any sympathy whatsoever.
I don't doubt there is an element of bad luck in there but 95% self inflicted imo i go there most years and agree when its full and the games are fierce its great.
When it was billed as the last "Bulls v Rhinos" at Odslum ever i was there and saw plenty of Rhinos fans putting money into the collection buckets etc then what did the hosts do?
They blew a few grand with fireworks FFS!
Also what really grated was the sh##e reception Brian Mc and JP got after donating their medals and shirts to the save the Bulls Auction not from everybody but more than enough to be noticed.

Where are the stories coming out of the club that the new owner has no money

| Apart from the early 80s under Peter Fox and the start of the Summer era, when Bradford went in to the new format far better prepared than many other clubs (Leeds included) and with the likes of Matthew Elliot as coach and the late Peter Deakin doing the marketing .... When else in the last fifty or so years have Bradford been a 'big successful' club ?
If anyone else thinks what happening at Bradford is anything 'new' then I suggest you have a look at their history circa 62 / 63 (if you can find anything)

| I feel sad about what is currently happening at the bulls as well. The club still exists.

I don't ... Let's show Bradford the same consideration as they gave us when were were flogged up the river by the then board.
A certain club was more than happy to relieve us of the services of James Lowes.
Quote: huddersfield rhino " I use to love the Derbys 20,000 packed in and you could feel the passion.'"
And how many of them were on freebie tickets, which might have been half of the problem ... Give them away whilst you're going well and no-one is going to pay to watch you when you're rubbish ....
Quote: huddersfield rhino "But on Thursday those few Bradford supporters who turned up, it was like they were going to a funeral.'"
Nothing at all new there then ... At least they don't chant the endless "Northern" dirge any more.
Do they still have the Dennis The Menace on the Quad Bike with the horns any more ?

There were supposed to be multiple bidders for Bradford a few weeks ago and I can't imagine that even the RFL are stupid enough to select someone in the same was as most of us do a Grand National sweepstake.

| Last time I checked, it was the administrators decision as to whether Bradford was sold as a going concern or not, not the RFL's.

There is an FB page Bulls Banter Gledhill put my name on it.I never posted till a few weeks ago when they were making the usual allegations about Leeds and GH running SL to the benefit of Leeds I pointed out about wasn't the the payments for Odsal bought by the RFL for the benefit of Bradford ? I also mentioned the help this club has from Leeds fans and of course JP and Mac donating their medals etc .I got taken off the page after some abuse

Correct, but if sold as a going concern (which it was) the buyer had to be approved by the RFL, which is the reason Mandy Kashcow is not the current owner.

| I had sympathy with the plight of Bradford until Peter Hood knowingly played on the emotions of the RL community to raise just enough money to absolve himself of any personal guarantees he had in place. That done he waltzed off into the sunset - cynical b*stard.

Rudge: Where? India?

| I didn't want Bradford to be relegated because of how it will affect our big games against them. Then I went to Odsal on Thursday and no one cares anymore. It felt like a non event. I was absolutely freezing, the place was falling apart and half empty and the game was as poor an advert for rugby league as you're likely to see bar a couple of moments. I hope there is a way back for them but after that on Thursday I can't see it. It was a sorry state.

"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"
Alex Murphy 2011: |
|
| I'm happy to see 'em crash and burn. Their supporters are a strange lot and their ground has the worst atmosphere in Superleague. I've never known fans chant how much they hate an opposition team (leeds) rather than supporting their own side.
