| This is from a post of mine on TRL but I thought it would be a good discussion point on here, it stemmed from a thread around attendances and people are blaming the layout of the stadium, I think that’s a load of poppycock myself and think there’s far more pressing issues at the club. We know the issues surrounding performances and coaching staff, which I think is the biggest reason for people not showing up but let’s look at some other stuff.
look at the Merchandise, cheap (not in price) tat being released constantly, only for it yo be reduced a month later when they release the next set of tat. It’s insulting to the fans. A club like Leeds should be leading the way with kits, apparel and merchandising but we are looking like a poundland outfit.
The youtube videos are pathetic with every week being the same dull 2 minute interviews about how they have trained well during the week, often conducted on a windy training field so you can’t hear anything.
Why not have a Rhinos TV subscription channel that costs lets say a fiver s month or its included in the Gold membership and produce dome interesting content
No marketing incentives other than a post on Social media saying ‘you don’t want to miss this’ with nothing but negative comments below it.
Everything they are doing at the moment screams a lack of enterprise and ambition for a club with the history and standing in the game it’s unforgivable . I realise theres money issues but they need to think smarter.
Leeds need to get a grip and fast, the stadium is the least of their worries (other than the debt of course) and is probably the only thing they have done well in the last 5 years.

| Interesting post. Get a successful side who are entertaining to watch, and everything else will fall into place……

| 1 - The ticket office. They are understaffed and only open, by phone, for half a day. You ring up and you can be on hold for 20 minutes sometimes. Ridiculous.
2 - The Academy/reserves should be playing at Headingley not Stanningley. Were a professional club not amateur. Most other clubs play at grounds with a stand and decent floodlights. The golden generation came thru playing in front of 8k-10k in the second half of their academy games which made the transition to the 1st team easier. Our current lads are playing in front of 200 at Stanningley.
3 - Asking academy players to train and play for free at a professional club is wrong. Just plain wrong. Leeds RL is a professional sports club. Are we as serious about junior development as we claim?
4 - PA System at Headingley is poor in my opinion particularly from the big screen which is badly underused.
5 - The pitch. Worst in SL. No idea why.
Leeds is a great club and gets so many things right and Shabbsy is correct, get a winning entertaining team and everything else is hunky dory but those are a few of my own personal whinges.

| There seems to be lots going on with the Foundation, but, very little, if any imaginative marketing to increase numbers, or entertain on a match day where it has not changed for years. Since lockdown the East Stand numbers look to have really dwindled. Not a good look, but, if the corporate boxes are fill the club will be happy.

| I'm surprised crowds are as big as they are to be honest. There was a bit more optimism before this season started, but if things don't turn around crowds will continue to fall regardless of how good any marketing is. You can get away with shonky gear, poor service etc if the team is winning.

| And now radford is delivering inspirational half time team talks, I feel sick.
As an aside the yellow cards continue to be an absolute joke.

The two yellows from our game were a joke. Barely even penalties……

| This probably won’t cheer you up Chris.
I’m going to leave Oxen and blame RU for the pitch, it might not be their fault but I’ll still blame 3rd rate kick and giggle garbage.
One major concern is that the desire to win has gone from GH and The board.
Watching McManus at Saints over many years you can tell he’s desperate to win.
Since 2015 we’ve been generally poor to average.
There have been a lot of stuff of late that looks wrong to me (admittedly from the outside with no knowledge).
Sinfield leaving, our captain Gale falling out with Agar and leaving.
Gale going on TV and saying there trouble at Leeds.
Hurrell playing for 3 years as. Marquee player whilst permanently at best a bit overweight at worst fat and unfit. He has gone to Saints as a reserve and looks like has lost 10 kilos or more.
The strange pre Wigan interview with Sezer and Austin, where Sezer do not make eye contact With austin. Wilkin commenting on how flat, negative it was.
The Agar presser where he said about flogging a dead horse was a desperate plea for the players to show they are still with him.
To me once you’ve said that on TV it’s all over, he’s a dead man walking. I reckon there will be a response v Salford but it won’t last.
We have little pace and little resilience to injuries.
We’ve signed Tetevano as a marquee, he is nowhere near that level.
Overall, we are drifting in mediocrity at best and I don’t see anyone in the organisation busting a gut to change it.
I Don’t know if Agar’s hands are tied but if he is doing recruitment I’ve no faith in him being DoR.
Furner was trying to shake things up and rattle cages, he did not get chance to finish the sort out.
He’s now paid off and for mine we should be striving to get another Holbrook type in who is desperate to be successful.
IF, big IF we go back to another old boy, the only one for me
Would be Danny McGuire who has RL brains, is a relentless competitor and a winner.

Yeah looks like a 2 horse race again. Perhaps another year where abject mediocrity can be masked by still making the playoffs.

Cas, Salford and Hull kr at home. Toulouse, Wigan away. Not exactly had the hardest start to the season.

| To be fair, what did you expect when you appointed Agar as coach? Could you imagine a big club like Saints appointing a mid table coach like that? Of course not.

I couldn’t imagine Leeds, or even a championship team, appointing Kieron Cunningham
