Assuming the lack of discussion on this means I'm not the only one not to get the email
Leeds Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington has emailed all our members with an update following the latest Government information regarding the roadmap to unlocking England from Coronavirus restrictions.
As we now know, 2020 was a difficult year and despite the euphoria of winning the Rugby League Challenge Cup, the Club suffered a significant loss which resulted in having to borrow £1.25m from the government, which now needs to be repaid.
We hoped to have a COVID free start to 2021, but alas, that has proved not to be the case and we will need to extend our borrowings further to ensure all our liabilities are met. Our loss would have been much more without the sacrifices of our players and staff and the terrific support from our fans, key partners, sponsors and corporate members and the extra support provided by the Caddick Group. We will recover, but it will take time.
With this in mind, I can report for the first time that our approach will be a bold one, and rather than contracting into a survival mode, we aim to invest and expand into growth and success in 2022. The quality of our first team squad is paramount if we are to challenge for silverware and we will continue to invest in our player Scholarship and Academy programmes as well as the facilities at Kirkstall. Further investment will be made in our Women’s Super League operation, and our match day experience at Headingley will be the best it can be. We will also reward our loyal fans with the very best packages and benefits.
Something special is already happening at the Rhinos. We now have a World Class Stadium and facilities, an outstanding crop of young players and a burning desire to recover and become the number one club both on and off the field. This is a firm commitment from the Club, and we are relying on another Team effort from all our stakeholders.
You can play a key role by encouraging friends and family to support the Rhinos, ideally as Members and together we can look forward to an exciting finish to this Super League season and a successful 2022.
You can now select your options as a 2021 Season Member and if we have a valid email address for you, you will shortly receive an email with all the necessary information you need to know and a link to the online options form. If we do not hold a valid email address, we will be issuing a letter in the next 2-3 days which will be sent to the lead purchaser of your season memberships only. The lead purchaser of your Season Memberships needs to complete the options form for the group by midnight on Friday 30th July.
Leeds Rhinos Ticket Office phone line (0371 423 1315) will continue to be open Monday-Friday from 10.30am-3.30pm however the ticket office itself will remain closed for the time being. Tickets and Memberships are available to purchase 24 hours a day, 7 days a week online at tickets.therhinos.co.uk. There are limited staff available to respond to fans over the phone, so please where possible, complete your forms online.
If you have any specific questions regarding the options that you cannot find via tickets.therhinos.co.uk, please direct them to

| And those options
LEEDS RHINOS 2021 SEASON MEMBERS OPTIONS
Leeds Rhinos 2021 Silver and Gold Season Members can now inform Leeds Rhinos as to how they would like their Season Membership ‘rebate credit’ to be processed which is determined by the number of home league games that they have been unable to attend due to them being played behind closed doors at the start of the 2021 Betfred Super League Season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Leeds Rhinos have promised to pledge a 35% rebate credit to each season member on the price that the member originally paid when they purchased their 2021 Season Membership. This amount will be the same for all members, regardless of whether they attended matches during May, June and July when we hosted three reduced capacity matches which were only available for our Rhinos Members to attend.
Terms and Conditions apply to all options.
• I WOULD LIKE A REBATE CREDIT IN EXCHANGE FOR MATCH CREDIT
You can opt to take a rebate credit which will be exchanged for match credit (this must be exchanged prior to 31st December 2021) which can be used for Memberships, Home / Away / Magic Weekend match tickets or events. It can also be used for Rugby League World Cup 2021 tickets which Leeds Rhinos will be putting on sale in the coming weeks.
• I WISH TO DONATE MY REBATE CREDIT TO LEEDS RHINOS
You can choose to donate your rebate credit back to Leeds Rhinos to help the club during this period and for the future.

| If I understand it correctly, in simple terms, we get 35% refund off the cost of our season ticket, albeit it isn't actually a refund but rather credit to use on purchasing future tickets? Alternatively, you can donate your credit to Rhinos again.

| Im disappointed refunds arent available this year.
Sounds like whether you went to 1 or all 3 of the recent games your credit is equal which makes zero sense to me. Not sure how some silver members got tickets for all 3 and some gold members only got 1 either. Think thats disgraceful actually.
Luckily for me ive relationships that got me into all 3 games despite being allocated only 1 ticket. Others ive spoken to wasnt in that position.
Whilst appreciating the club was in a bad and awkward position with members it had i think its treated some people very poorly, which is unusual for Leeds actually, but thats just my opinion.

| Gold members get extra add ons and freebies but they don't somehow outrank other full season ticket holders.

| I would imagine most would have been offered at least 2 out of the 3 matches and thus, the most anyone would have missed is 4 out of 12 matches which represents 33% of the home games. Does seem a little unfair that people lucky enough to go to all three fixtures get the same refund as those who attended two.
As for the rebate credit that seems poor form. People could have cancelled their direct debits if they'd known Rhinos weren't going to refund them. Lets hope crowds aren't restricted again in the near future as supporters may be less forthcoming after being treated like this.

| I can't keep up!
I donated my money to the club last year. From memory I'm getting a hospitality day and I'm sure it said my season ticket would remain frozen at the same price for a number of seasons? Anyone remember how long it is?
Also I wonder when the club will confirm that Rob Oakes free tickets to world cup games at HQ for ST holders article from a month or so back?

Frozen for 3 years i believe.
Hospitality day now postponed to next season. World Cup tickets appear now to be not free and can be bought using your credit according to club announcement.
It says you can use your credit against events. I wonder if Josh Warrington fight is classed as an event. I suspect Matchroom and DAZN wouldnt think so.

| Difficult position for the club. They simply can’t keep going without revenue, but fans should get some return for their investment.

Definately. Fingers crossed we never have to return to restricted crowds ever again and club makes a financial recovery starting next Friday. Gonna be good to see a decent crowd there again.

| Assuming all the arrival times stuff is now out of the window? Will be interesting to see what the crowd is. Went out for a pint at my local on Friday. Normal run of things it would have been packed inside and out, but there were probably a dozen people there. Suspect people are going to be cautious.
