Hopefully lasts longer than he did for Wigan as an assistant in 2013.

The reason im against it is at ST's he didnt hesitate to sell his mates out , couldnt give a on Tour with GB when we had a chance of winnjng a series & away from the pitch unreliable.
Time will tell whilst he's here but he could be good for Mclellend & Walker IF he is fully commited & behaves.

Let's wait and see I am a bit dubious though ,but KS seems to have got rid of the " rotten" culture T the club ,so I cant see him bringing in who may reverse this .

Would pay good money to watch a meeting involving JJB and Sean Long. Good money.

Was one of the best halfs we have produced as a country for a long time, bags of experience from the domestic game, obviously looking to tap into some of that experience.

Im sure the club has been forthright in their views regarding any off field nonsense and besides, Kev has shown that he's prepared to bite the bullet in sackings if needed.

I think Danny Orr as Assistant Coach would have been a better appointment but let`s see what Long brings to the team next year.

Prefer Long to Orr. If Long's main role is coaching the halves it can only be a good thing. He was a seriously good player. Like others have said, trust Kev. If it doesn't work out Long will be...long gone.

Read his book he was an absolute fruit cake but a wonderful player.He has since i believe matured and as far as i know he's now tee total .Im sure he will be able to improve our attacking play.

Don't see the need for any chatter about off the field things. That was a long time ago, no doubt he's gained experience and developed. Could be a decent appointment.

Of course there is need to discuss off field matters , the major thing at the start was Kev saying the culture at the club was poor , well this bloke has a history as long as your arm of off field discretions , he may off course be a different bloke now and i am more than hopefull he is but it is still worthy of discussion and of course only time will tell
