| I was suprised they made the top 4. Do they have any players that could cause us problems? I've not heard of many of them.
How many do they normally get to their games, could Rhinos fans outnumber Fev supporters? It would be nice if we could.

Ormondroyd - Leeds bound 2017
Briscoe, Walters, Baldwinson - On loan from Leeds.
Ward, Griffin, Roche, Briggs, Duckworth - Ex Leeds.
Possibly Lilley, Mullally, Handley, Golding if club agreed duel registrations to be at Featherstone.
However I can only see Mullally going over on dual registration.
Sutcliffe
Briscoe Watkins Moon Hall
Lilley Burrow
Galloway Segeyaro Garbutt
Albett Ferres
JJB
Cuthbertson Singleton Delaney Achurch/Keinhorst
That's judging McGuire and Ward aren't back

| I went to watch Batley v Fev earlier this month and thought that the Rhinos players on show for Fev weren't that cracking (Golding,Baldwinson & Mullally)
I expected these players to stand out but they didn't really do anything special and showed why they are on the outer fringes at the Rhinos when we have a fully fit squad
Ormondroyd is a big lad, I actually watched him 3 or 4 years ago when he was playing for Drighlington in the pennine league
At present I would say that he has a bad technique in collision in both attack and defence
You see him charge up to smash someone but it doesn't come off and it ends up in more of a grab & wrestle tackle more often than not
He is obviously a work in progress but he would need to really improve in order to pull a blue and amber shirt on,I have seen players in both of our academy age group sides that offer far more than he does at present
it is possible that he could prove to be a very late developer but i say that more in hope
I was really impressed with their generals, Thackeray,Briggs and Ellis who really controlled the game for them with consummate ease
Taulapapa was very busy and strong out wide in the centre/wing
John Davies in the back row looked really lively, ran great lines all day and also had some good offloads in him

If they bring over 2.5k they will.
That said, I'll be there ....who I'm supporting is anyone's guess.
Andy ellis is very good. Jon Davies grafts hard and has the heart of a lion. Atmosphere from 2000 fev fans will be that of 5000 people. Throw some rain in for good measure and it won't be a walk in the park.

| Im getting a little worried about this game, I know it might be 'fair' to let our loaned out players play against us, but to me it just looks like we are so confident that we are not worried about it coming back to hurt us
If we are complacent and get scalped at Fev then suddenly we are in a mad scrap to avoid the MPG
We have seen in previous years how complacent we have been against lower teams like London and it has cost us
I hope the coaching staff have learnt from previous mistakes and get the boys really up for it, but they certainly haven't learnt from mistakes in other areas

"The Golden Generation finally has its Golden Fleece! They have Wembley Cup Final winners medals to add to their collection."

| Not worried at all about complacency being a possible issue. This isn't a game against London one week before a Wembley final, or a league game that only determines whether you finished 5th or 6th under the old 8 team playoff format.
This is a much different scenario and they'll want to get it over with and negotiated as quickly and smoothly as possible. A number of players also have missed a lot of rugby this year so will be eager. For his flaws, you can't say McDermott doesn't treat/speak of all other clubs with respect so I'm confident he's making sure the group won't be taking any of the Championship clubs lightly (the week off I think will have helped to prepare in that respect).
People have mentioned about how we'll be the scalp the Championship teams will want as the 'big' club involved but we get that every year from a number of SL clubs who love nothing more than trying to beat us so whilst it might be a team and a stadium that's a bit different to normal, the general atmosphere will be similar to ones faced whenever we go to the likes of Wakey or Cas.

Surely letting our own players play against us in areas they are weak does show some complacency though, we could have put in a clause that said these loan players couldn't play, I assumed thats why we did loans and not dual reg tbh
Why take the risk that Baldwinson does something to win them the game?

| Leeds will be too strong and too good - I can't believe anyone is even considering this to be anything but an easy victory.
If Leeds cannot beat a team that only just scraped into the top four then the MPG isn't even a possibility.

| Some of you lot define the word complacency. I hope the Leeds players and staff share a similar mentality i really do.
No one gave Feath a chance when we played Cas in the cup a few years back. Or when we ran Wigan close the following round. Or when we beat Hull in the Challenge Cup all those years ago. Or even when we played Bradford in the decider.
At the end of the day, yes you SHOULD win, but after the season you've had so far could you really say with 100% confidence that you expect a pretty routine victory? That may well turn out to be the case but don't be counting your chickens just yet.
As far as us Feath lot are concerned, everything from here is a bonus. We've banked some extra dosh and that should allow us to make a couple of shrewd signings to compliment the current squad for next year. When you don't receive anywhere near as much money every year from the RFL or Sky then that's all we can do and most of the fans have become accustomed to it now. Make no mistake though, the fans still want more and we're all loving the fact that it's actually possible again to have an opportunity to make claim for Super League next year. With the closed shop we've all witnessed for the past 15-20 years i'm taking that as a win. You Super League lot have been truly spoilt!
The players on the other hand will be having different ideas. Make no mistake, they've worked their backsides off the last few weeks to make the middle 8's. They won't just be showing up on Sunday, they'll be giving it a reyt go.
Worth noting as well that we're a part time team. That definitely has disadvantages don't get me wrong, but the one up shot is that there's only 2 or 3 clubs that can pretty much pick from the Part Time players every season. Some of the talent in the part time roster are very talented players, they may have decided for whatever reason that part time is the way to go for now. We have some high standard players for sure.
Our fitness has improved leaps and bounds as we've gone through the season as we proved against the full time Bradford, we can go 80 minutes against full time sides.
I'm hoping for a close game with a lot of excitement and a few shocks and surprises along the way. It should be great to see Post Office Road bouncing for the 2nd home game in a row. We can certainly put on a show for the cameras so i hope your guys are ready
And to answer the posters question about danger men:
Danger Men
Ellis
Thackeray
Briggs
Davies
Taulapapa
Bostock
Solid Players
Everyone else

| People keep saying the dual reg players can play but last year they couldn't which didn't help Hunslet one bit. I presume we have loaned 3 players because Golding, Lilley and Mullalley will be staying with Leeds. Does anyone know if the rule has changed from last year???

It has changed.
Whether you can play on DR during the Qualifiers is now down to how many games you played on DR during the season. That dictates whether you can play for one or both clubs in the Qualifiers.
If you've played less than 3 games on DR during the season, you can't go out on DR during the Qualifiers.
If you've played between 3 and 7, you can go on DR but once you do you can no longer play for your parent club in the Qualifiers.
If you've played 8 or more games on DR during the season, you can continue to swap between your parent club and your DR club.
I'd be surprised if Leeds let any of Golding, Lilley, Handley or Mullally go out on DR as they'll be needed as cover should they pick up any injuries during the next 7 games.
