| Anyone see the incident involving Ablett last night. Doesn't look good.

| Saw it at the time and thought it was more than a bit naughty. I personally think calling it a gouge is a bit OTT however, and I have to say I have only seen it once in Sky, he did seem to deliberately target the eyes of the Hull KR player.
Scott Moore recently picked up a 4 game ban after the match review panel found him guilty of gouging with much less video evidence to support the charge.

| Well if Tautai can get one game for a cannonball tackle, and O'Loughlin can get one game for putting a player out for 3 months, I think Ablett deserves a £50 fine

| At the end of the day, we moan about other teams. It was a h0use move from Ablett, and he deserves all he gets for it. Over reacted in the first place, which was stupid when we had the ball, and then took it too far.

| Summed up Ablett's night.
A handling error waiting to happen, missed a bag full of tackles, clocked off on the chase back for Sio's try because he thought it was done after he missed Kelly. Only Stevo's senility saved his evening.

| How did he get MOM?
JJB was at 51 tackles 10min from end and ran strong all night. Deserved MOM for me. Keinhorst, Burrow, Segeyaro all in front of Ablett last night!

| LOL, Wakey fan (who are still upset about Scott Moore getting a ban) and Wigan fan who is desperate to see something because of the sh*tstorm around the Tautai incident. Hand in the face is now "POSSIBLE GOUGE".
Btw regarding Greenwood, what a farce it became with him and his split lip. At one point Hicks orders him off (the 3rd time he'd done so I believe) he walks towards the sidelines, gets 5 metres near the sideline and just turns and runs back into the defensive line.

| Greenwood made Hicks look a bigger Dick than he already is , the time he made him bandage it up , he threw it of 10 secs later . When he tried to get him to leave the field and he would not go he should have binned him .

Shows the lack of respect for refs, but with the amount that Hicks got wrong for both sides last night, who can blame him
I don't think it was an outright gouge (if it was I think Greenwood would have mentioned it to the ref) but he is tempting fate by putting his hand there, especially with the lottery the review panel has become
It doesn't matter anyway, as Wigan have shown you can just appeal any decision against you with seemingly no negative consequences

| Gouge? The thing where he put his hand in his face? I agree you shouldn't raise your hand like that but come on, gouge?
It's right up there with Seggys 'shoulder charge'. It's getting ridiculous.

| It was completely unnecessary from Ablett and he should definitely be charged for it but I'd struggle to call it a gouge, even the most incriminating stills of the incident don't show any fingers in Greenwood's eyes. Ablett does need to get a grip though, a few years ago he was a master of winding up the opposition while staying calm and we reaped the rewards but now he's the one losing his cool and giving away stupid penalties.

He won a penatly in this incident.
Greenwood put his forearm into Ablett's face, Ablett tries to push Geenwood in the face......the definition of handbags and ONLY brought up because fans of rival clubs are unhappy about their players getting done for something and trying to find something on other clubs players.
Would completely highlight the ridiculousness of our sport at the moment if either that or the Segeyaro tackle got the same ban as Tautai's tackle......but I wouldn't be surprised if they do.

And earlier in the year he gave away a penalty against Cas whilst we were in possession after a break that had Cas scrambling to get back.
As I said it definitely wasn't a gouge but it wasn't needed and could see him getting pulled up in front of the disciplinary. We're in agreement about the ridiculousness of the punishment for Tautai. If Green hadn't got injured no one would be mentioning Segeyaro's challenge as anything other than awesome.

| If they charge Segs with a shoulder charge then his ban may be longer than Tautai's if they take into account the injury he caused which looked serious. Then we'd be in trouble as Lilley looks to be out too.

Totally failing to mention the knee from Ablett that started the whole incident off.
For what it is worth I don't think it was a gouge, but he defiantly targeted Greenwoods eyes with his fingers not only once, but twice when his hand was knocked down.
I also agree that the Tautai penalty reduction is ridiculous what message does that send out, it has always been the same with the RFL, if a team have a big game coming up like a final or a semi you cab guarantee they will do their upmost to ensure they play.
