If the quote is accurate and representative of the state of the facilities then it will undoubtedly impact on the early part of next years prep. Hopefully by the time they get back from Florida the situation will have been significantly improved. I hope the insurance cover was up to snuff.

I live about 10 minute walk from there and I was stood on Kirkstall bridge on Boxing Day about 3.30pm and amount of water flowing into that 3G pitch was incredible

They've got some pretty expensive stuff at Kirkstall and some of it isn't insured. The 25k screening equipment for example. It hampered the Carnegie players on boxing day too. They were due to get beasted (as is the case after Crimbo) but they were told to just find an alternative gym because Kirkstall was destroyed.

They're looking into using leeds Road playing fields/sports barn in the short term, where Huddersfield Giants train.

Also been offered use of the indoor training facilities at Featherstone, which Wakefield are also using.

I wonder if they've approached Leeds United about Thorpe Arch?
