Thirst on clearly is the greatest player in the world at the moment, and probably by a fair distance. Not only is he miles ahead of everyone else in his position, but because he plays in such a pivotal position, he has a huge influence on every game he plays - throw in the fact that he seems a top top professional and an even better bloke (even though I generally hate Queensland) and you really can't argue against any accolades he receives....
However.... Isn't the Golden Boot linked to international performances? And on that note, Australia have only played 1 game this year, and they got beat by the kiwis....

Maybe if he dropped some bombs and got run over like an under 9 he might stand out a bit more.

Thurston will win it and rightly so.
Nice bit of recognition for Zak and his excellent season. All this nonsense from other fans saying he has been poor this series is off the mark, he has done everything required of him so far, only thing he could perhaps improve on is injecting himself into the line on attack more but the way England have set their stall out all the backs have been shut out so its unfair to single him out imo. Hopefully he has a stormer on saturday and quietens some of the knockers.
