Yep by the way McGuire spoke after the GF he expects to be partnering Sutcliffe in the halves next year. Also would be quite crowded in 2017 is Brierley is joining then.
Also regarding Brierley. If the plan was to loan him back to Leigh next year......doesn't Rangi Chase signing at Leigh impact that? They've got three halves in Chase, Ridyard and Brierley for next year. Why would you play the latter IF he's only on loan and heading to Headingley in 2017? |

They are not both scrum halves at all. McGuire is an out and out stand off, whom has moved to scrum half to help us out. Gale has also operated at stand off in most of his career.
Therefore each could play in either half back position. Still as I said though, I dont think that is the case. |
