| They're real. We just saw one that lasted from February to October.
They all lived happily ever after.
I'm speechless.

| Now all Leeds have to do is win The WCC next Feb and win BBC SPORTS TEAM OF THE YEAR and they will copy ST Helens amazing season of 2006/7

Then we'd have to follow that up with losing 5 grand finals in a row. I somehow don't think we'll be capable of that. Never mind.

| Congratulations Leeds at times you had to tough it out.
below is what I have just put on the Wigan board.
Leeds won because they had two halfbacks in McGuire and Burrows ( please do not tell me that Burrows was hooker) who did an old fashioned halfbacks job on us and by that I mean being allowed to roam all across the width of the pitch.
Wigan on the other hand after a very bright start when they scored a superb try down the left, Leeds suddenly tightened up on Williams and Farrell and by doing this 80% of Wigan's attacking threat was snuffed out. Leeds knew that nowhere near the same threat would come from Wigan's right.
Finally I would just like to congratulate Jamie Peacock on what as been a great career.

| On top of all the team and individual plaudits, putting to bed that silly Wigan finals hoodoo makes it even more worthwhile, something even the likes of Schofield and Hanley couldn't do.
As for the famous Bulls 2003 and Saints 2006 teams, Leeds took them both apart pretty convincingly in the following season's finals of 2004 and 2007

| Thought Wigan had a shocker in kicking for goal when 18-16 up.
Not that I really care, trebble winners what a way to send of the fantastic three!

Loser club mentality - if they'd gone for 6 at the least it would have taken more juice out of the tiring Leeds forwards. They lacked a real leader out there.

| Absolutely gutted but congratulations, especially for Peacock, a proper way for one of the best props I've seen to bow out.

If only you could have been there, be honest Leeds beating Wigan instead of Saints in the GF made you a little bit jealous didn't it?

Absolutely. I had tears in my eyes at the end. My step-son was very embarrassed. The end of a golden era.....BLUDDY FANTASTIC. I will remember this season for a very long time

No shame in that, you weren't the only one. In the car on the way home we all agreed our best ever game and result. Never been so happy to see the team win a fitting end to a golden era. Hopefully after a little time to reorganise it will be onward and upward.
