I'm sick of hearing about how fatigued the Rhinos are. About how confident Wigan fans are that they'll run away with this game in the last 20. It really is garbage. Look at JP's stats from Friday. Those are not tired stats. Garbutt is looking brilliant, Kylie has been spelled well over the last few weeks. Cuthbertson is still immense. Burrow is no Aiton, but he and Sinny are doing a great job at hooker. 1-7 is first choice. All our props are available (plus cuthbo at 13), Ablett and Delaney in the back row. Keinhorst, Singo, Kylie and Walters/Lilley is not a weak bench.

Mate, peacock was about to pass out before the sinfield 40/20. He tackled roby on the last and could barely get up, and never got back up with play.

That 40/20 didn't just save leeds season, it saved peacock's life!

Is it any wonder? the man had done 40 tackles coming off the bench with half an hour still to play! with just 80 minutes of rugby leauge left in his career he will be more than willing to put himself through hell one last time for the feeling of going out with the treble,of that we can all surely have no doubt.

Of course the team is tired....it's not a criticism. The team has given us a hell of a season and deserve a rest which they have never had. I hope they can all lift themselves one more time....and nobody can bet against them doing so, but numbers are slim and it's gonna be a miracle if they win the treble. ... but I believe in miracles. Well actually I don't, but maybe just this once.

THAT 40/20 was hugely hugely significant in the team getting this far.

I'm not too concerned with tiredness. Injuries could cost us but there will be more than enough in the tank for one big effort

They are tired and half of them are running on one leg. Outstanding effort and determination on top of significant skill is what makes Leeds exceptional.

IIRC Saturday will be this teams' 36th game in 35 weeks. If we manage to win it will be the greatest moment in the club's history. If we lose the skill, effort and sacrifice of the players shouldn't be underestimated or undervalued just because of a loss.

I'm the other way round. Heart says Leeds head says Wigan. I think it's a difficult game to call

I think with an 8 day turnaround we'll be ok providing we don't end up having to do a prolonged period of defending early on in the match that really drains us for the 2nd half.

As for Peacock looking shattered. I have some concerns about one or two things such as back row options, use of subs, Wigan's slowing of the PTB....but one thing I'm definitely not worried about is Peacock getting through this game. It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up as the top tackler of the night.

I would say that carrying an injury is totally different to being tired, which most of our players should'nt be. Most of our team have spent plenty of time on the sidelines watching, especially Rob Burrow, Kylie, Sinny and Briscoe. Others like Ryan Hall, Zak,Kallum and Danny Mags have had a few rests due to injury or being rested when not fully fit. When people talk about tired players it should only apply to a small number, the likes of Abbo, JP and Cuthbo. Tiredness is not an excuse in this game, Wigan have only played one game less than us this season. If our manager has flogged certain people it is because our squad is not strong enough, and for that their is no excuse.

Peacock doesn't have a stop button. I'd take him with 40 minutes under his belt ahead of any Wigan props completely fresh.

Just thinking - with Aiton being out we have been a lot slower / not as good at the PTB. As people have identified that Wigan were good at this in previous games this season (and thus nullifying one good weapon we had) might it actually be good in a roundabout way he is injured still?

Ok, we have lost something from our attack but something several people identified was previously wiped out by the way Wigan play..? Just a thought / observation...

I suppose you're saying that we'd effectively have to adjust our attack to a slower service with or without Aiton? Possibly true.

Anyway, I doubt Leeds' players are physically any more tired than Wigan - the issue is more a mental one. A bigger problem is the fact that whilst we can still put a decent team out it simply isn't as strong as if the players out were available. Our bench in particular doesn't look crash hot.
