Just read on Rugby AM he is the new head coach any one else know anything else about this?

Oh goody. Thinks he can do his day job without an assistant, now taken on another role too. Such a Martyr.

Well his "day job" seems to be going OK, what with him being our most successful coach ever and with us currently sitting top of the league and into the CC semis... so why not.

From a Rhinos POV its a joke, anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot.

We are one of, if not the only professional Rugby League club without a full time assistant. That alone is a joke. Look at what our rivals have as a right hand man, are they all wrong and McDermott is right?

And now he becomes head coach of USA. He states he will be in the states during the Rhinos off season. BRILLIANT! Whilst we go through our biggest ever transition, with at least JP and Kev leaving, this won't be at the front of Brians mind. Whilst Cunningham, Wane etc. will be plotting a successful 2016 season, albeit with a some leisure time, so when their players report back for pre season training they can smash it....McDermott and Leeds on the other hand.... Putting the Rhinos needs to one side, everyone needs a break in life, but not Brian it seems.

Hes hardly taken on the GB or Australian coaching job has he. This will be providing some guidance to what are essentially an amateur team for a few weeks each year and then a world cup (and all expenses paid trips to the US). Who knows he may unearth a rhinos recruit. Good luck Brian in spreading the gospel in the US, They have taken on a great coach

Mac will complete his 5th season as head coach this year.That is a season more than his two successful predecessors Smith and Bluey infact will probably make him our longest serving coach as far back as i have watched Leeds in the mid 80s so he is probably coming to the end of his time with us now.If not this year then certainly at the end of the next it will surely be time to freshen things up.For the record i think he has done a fine job during his time so have no agenda on him staying or going.He obviously thinks he can do both jobs so good luck to him and i reckon if he fails to make it work then it will hasten his departure from us which will probably please a lot on here so don't see the issue

I know, we did so much better in the regular season when we had Lowes as assistant.
