Have given the Souths a better run than Saints tonight?

Souths were good yes, but Saints have looked average all over the park. Looked overawed by the occasion to be honest.

Puts into perspective how well we have done in these games down the years.Even the games we have lost we have got very close.

Nah. Souths are a cut above any team in this country, and to be fair I think it's important to remember that they're a cut above most NRL teams too.

Just feel Saints have been such a let down tonight after the other 2 game which were good to watch.

I feel we would have given them a good game but beaten in similar style to the Manly loss at Elland road in 2009(?)

I hope Saints fans realise now that beating them in Grand Finals is actually doing them a favour. It spares them this sort of humiliation.

I didn't think Saints would do much better than they did to be honest. If you look at their back line in particular every player in it is average and physically out of their depth.

The 2009 result I think is a good comparison. Would've been very tough to win but think we'd have been more respectable.

Souths looked very good, but luck does play a big part in games. The scoreline could have been hugely different with a bit of a shift in luck either way.

Problem I have with this Saints side and knowing what level they're truely at is that they haven't been correctly tested. They limped towards the LLS thanks to Cas and Leeds messing up more than them and their playoff run was against two teams who look to have hit a brick wall in terms of fatigue in Cas and Catalans and then just managed to get past 12 over 78 mins.

We're still to find out just how good they truely are.
