Even if we'd won the game it would have been unacceptable . Surely everybody can see that it's beneficial starting Aiton, then varying it/changing the tempo later on.

Believe it or not, we have a proper hooker. We play him at 2nd row.

That game though was lost when McGuire stupidly gave that penalty away, we had control at that point.

We were garbage for the most part and went through the motions.got what we deserved.actually, we still got a decent lead at half time and the players must have thought they would capitulate and were like walking corpses for 20 minutes after the break which allowed them to take a lead.you then saw us play properly for a 10 minute spell but when you play with fire you get burnt, like we did at the end.

We were so clueless ball in hand (again) that the 10-minute spell where we "played properly" was like a hallucination. Long time since we've seen that at Headingley. But still we did that kick-to-the-corner thing at 20-18 rather than, you know, trying to score points. Do that and it only takes one mistake to ruin the game.

We deserved nothing from that. Well played Catalans. If it wasn't for Hardaker you'd have won by a lot more.

If playing properly is throwing the ball about and taking risks then you have to earn the right to do it. Structured sets, field position, wearing certain players out etc has to be done first. We saw tonight, as we've done on numerous occasions previously, playing an off-the-cuff player as starting hooker is not conducive to this happening.

This was indeed the moment when the victory was thrown away. What was he thinking?

So Hall knocking on twice had no impact on the game - G1 and Gotcha need to take the blinkers off!!
