| Looks like the rugby gods were not that angry with McGuire after all and should be fit to play on Friday.
By the way was Carney sited for his poor tackling technique on Saturday?
It looked bad at the time even though I'm sure it was accidental.

| One interesting thing is something that jjb mentioned on the radio about us only winning the gf before and not having the elation of winning the cc then going straight back into competition mode because its season over after the gf

It was a dumb play, but I've seen many worse. Penalty sufficient in my book

Sure was and could of cost his team dear had he been sent off .
Not seen the replay but didn`t look too clever at the time.

| I'd expect 2/3 changes to be honest I'm sure I saw Kylie getting his calf iced up ay F/T and I'd be surprised to see Mags play I've done my rib cartilage before and it was more painful than when I dislocated my shoulder its agony.
I think we should still be good enough to win it's also our last regular SL home game so it should be a cracking atmosphere.

| Saints seem to win more often against us when they are decimated by injuries. I think they have to be favourites but anything is possible. Difficult to call.

| Saints have injuries but they're still a strong side. Apart from Walsh, Lomax and Wilkin who's missing from their first choice line up?

| Depends how focused we are. If we win this top spot is still in our grasp, saints have a tough run in. Think we will be up for it now All the way to the GF

| We've effectively had 3 days to prepare for this, saints have had nigh on 2 weeks, knowing a win will put them in a very strong position to finish top. They've got some key players injured, we've just won the CC. Sometimes winning the CC puts teams on a real confidence high and they carry great form on from it, sometimes they are flat and have a ''CC hangover''. All in all this game is a devil to try and figure out.
If we are to win 2 from our last 3 games, beating wigan and hull will benefit us more than saints and hull. It's vital we take points off wigan if we are to finish in the top 2, whereas I think 4 points is too much to overturn to finish above saints.
It's too tight with too many possibilities to try and get tactical with who you would rather play in the 1st round like wigan did last year with huddersfield so we just need to try and win as many games as possible.

How confident would you be if you had Hardaker, Sinfield and Burrow missing? And missing for the rest of the season, not just a one off match?

| This promises to be the closest finish to a SL season yet. With 6 teams in the running and most contenders meeting one or more rivals before the playoffs it should provide plenty of excitement. IMO we should go into full knock out/playoff mode starting with Fridays Saints game. If we can beat the Saints and win our other two we should finish at least 2nd and then if Saints lose 2 out of their 3 matches left then we finish top. So it is in our hands.
The game after a Cup final win is often a difficult one and although Saints are missing 3 key players they have a good squad and they will also be going all out for the top spot ....so another tough match to savour.
If all are fully fit I think Mac will go with his first choice starting 13 however I would not be surprised to see both Singleton and Achurch on the bench
