| Boom! I heard this deal was signed up weeks ago. Wonder why it took so long to announce.
I have family from Brisbane visiting in May too. They're season ticket holders at the Suncorp so I'm glad they'll get to see the games.

Why? They run a business. The bookies streaming took away subscribers. Sky would never let the bookies show sports they have on.

It wasn't "free" and it was in a box about 3" by 3". Bookies make money anyway so they could afford to show the games for a £5 deposit. The majority of people would have put more than £5 in a season too. Premiersports are a business and the NRL is their major selling point. Would you let someone else show the same product as you for next to nothing? No! You'd buy the whole rights. And really? Complaining at a tenner a month to see 32 games? The Aussies pay a hell of a lot more than that to get Foxtel and they only get to see 20 a month.

| I'm not sure people can complain really. Every single game shown live or on delay, championship, state of origin, grand final and the anzac test?
TV subs will even get the online side of the deal included, which as a Virgin customer will have to use the online only part. Still, a tenenr a month is easily good enough value for me.

| Agreed! I subscribe for the NRL mainly but if the Championship games are as good as the Halifax/Batley game last night it's a steal. Good commentary from Nobby and Paul Cooke. I read that the Championship teams receive no money from Premier Sports though so that's a bit crap.

| I might have to take the plunge and pay for the online service.
Just wish Virgin bloody Media would wise up!

Its 10 a month plus the cost of having sky installed / £10 a month plus signing up to a sky package or £10 a month for the online version which as I've already said is basically the same quality as what you got for free from the bookies.
They should either get themselves on Virgin or start streaming at a much better quality
