| Our forwards have come in for a lot of criticism this season and in most cases it has been justified. We have been outmuscled and dominated on many occasions and to be fair the pack has not looked good enough to compete with the top sides in the league.
However,The performance of our forwards in the win against Catalan has given me a bit of a hope that we can front up on friday and match the wigan set, which is going to be vital if we are to reach another Grand final.
Peacock has been awesome in recent weeks, carrying the pack still at his grand old age is not what we expected to have to see, but he is doing it admirably. What was most pleasing against Catalans was the fact that when our bench players came into the game we didnt look to lose any grunt or go forward which is what has happened throughout the season.Griffin, who has come in for criticism on here was running the ball in like he was in the early part of the season and Clarkson, another to get some stick was back to running good lines and punching holes like the back end of last season.
With Kirke showing some of his best form in a Leeds shirt,Bailey in the mood and Kylie due back after a weeks 'rest',despite the likely suspenstion of McGuire i think we look i good shape in the department that is going to really matter come friday night.

| I think some decent kicking options will be important as well, with mags probably missing hopefully we don't leave it all down to kev as this is easy for the opposition to close down

| The problem is, even if leeds do get on top in the forwards they won't have the guile to break through wigans defence.
Even being on top in the forwards, wigan can shift the ball wide, use a couple of well timed dummy runners and kel suprise they have a gaping hole to charge through.
People go on about the CC semi, remember how easy they broke through and scored tries at times?

Very true! which is why we have been stuffed several times this year.
I just feel we have reason to be confident on the back of the weekends game that we will match wigan up front.which i have not been in a while.
I do agree that if Mags is banned Sinfield needs some help in the kicking department we need options.I would play Burrow in a more orthodox Scrum half role.Team i would pick:
1. Hardaker
2. BJB
3. Watkins
4. Ablett
5. Hall
6. Sinfield
7. Burrow
8. Kylie
9. Lunt
10. Peacock
11. JJB
12. Delaney
13. Bailey
14. Ward
15. Clarkson
16. Griffin
17. Kirke

| Leeds in the semi against Wigan asked the right questions.
Tomkins is one hell of a danger-man. So plant the seed of doubt and get under his chin. Apply the pressure. It worked, he made a couple of gaffs and Leeds managed to build a lead that Wigan couldn't quite claw back. With dangermen you can either leave alone and hope they don't strike or try and give them a 'mare. I would be putting towering kicks up to Tomkins and instruct the big quick men (Bails, JJB etc) to get into him and plant him into the middle of next week.......if his feet dare leave the ground.

| I'm expecting Kylie to have a huge game after missing last week.
I'd be amazed if we don't bomb Roland Rat to death.
He's a very dangerous attacker when given space but high kicks & a good chase remove the space in front of him.
What we cannot afford to do is to give away cheap penalties for high tackles early in the tackle count like we did last week.

i am not confident without mcguire however looks burrow looks back to fitness which will help take some of the pressure of sinfield, challenge cup final he was a lone figure at times.

At least it's part of a team contesting the last four of Super League though eh?
How did the pack of the club you support get on in the play-offs? Be good to see Scott Taylor in them next year- shame it won't be with your rabble though...

| You did well in the CC semi final along with the three tries awarded to Leeds that the RFL confirmed should not have been awarded.
BTW what was the combined scores in the two league matches, Leeds 14 Wigan 70?
