Can't see how he can possibly plead "not guilty' to the charge of punching, tbh. Probably better taking the one maych ban.

if you look at other incidents in the season, Radfords sending off, the Wigan/Saints fight, Mcilorums single punch on Elima ( that was red carded as well as banned due to early plea) then there should be no way he avoids a ban. If hes sensible he'll take the early plea, two good punches to the head against a player on the floor is no better than the late stiff arm that Mike Mc effectively got 4 games for. Will be tough going to France light in the forwards though.

a stray elbow is irrelevant. Fox certainly did nothing wrong and was on the floor defenceless and he hit him with 2 good ones. If he doesnt put the early plea in he'll be lucky not to get 2 games.

By the letter of the law, aka on field compliance guidelines, he deserves an appearance at red hall.

However, I think there's a case for mitigating circumstances.

There aren't really any mitigating circumstances, otherwise you could go all Mike Tyson at any wriggly play-the-ball.

There's context & history: that he hasn't done it before in a long career, but he did do it and I can't see a not guilty plea working.

Personally don't think quick punch-ups are that big a deal compared to dangerous tackles, but the 2012 version of the RFL obviously do given that they've banned plenty for similar, and consistency would see Kylie banned too.
