| Jamie Peacock has reacted to Schofields criticism on twitter this aft.
"@JamiePeacock10: What a surprise. The Supercoach and fat slob @GarrySchofield6 won't answer his phone when I ring to give him my opinion of him. #coward"
"@JamiePeacock10: Mind you. @GarrySchofield6 must be busy polishing all those trophies he won as a player and a coach."
Schofields response,
"@GarrySchofield6: I missed @JamiePeacock10's call because I was polishing my Golden Boot. How the hell was I supposed to know it was him calling?! #notpsychic"
Whats Schofield actually said about Peacock in his column? Think Peacock should have conducted himself privately imo

| I was annoyed with Schofield's comments both this aft and also in his column.
Now I've calmed down a bit looking in hindsight everyone is entitled to there opinion even if we don't agree with it.
I don't think JP should of been on Twitter before such an important game calling the shots?! Maybe that's for another day.
I've been reading the other thread on Schofield and I just feel he brings 99.9% of this on himself.
He's always bitching and moaning about all things Leeds RLFC either on Twitter or in the League Express. It's like he's bitter?!

| I have no real issue with Peaock going public on this. As for preparation for the game tonight. I'm not sure how 5 minutes on the Internet affects this.
What do you imagine any sportsmen do on the coach to games?

| Schoey is quick to jump on the bandwagon when the Loiners are doing well and not so well isn't he?!

Yeah, you are right I suppose.
Be it Footballers, Rugby Players, Cricketers they are always using some sort of technology before a game.
Tweeting is the "in-thing" to do these days I suppose.

why do you think he's jealous? he criticises all clubs when he sees fit, not just Leeds.
He's also praised them massively too, many times in the past and this season.
I sat next to him at a WCC once and a 4N final and I can vouch for the fact he's as big a Leeds and England fan as anyone. Jumping up and down when his team scores, gutted when they concede. And in criticising them when things aren't going well, he's no different to the vast majority of fans.
Just don't get how you reach the conclusion he's jealous. I doubt he'd swap his career for that of any of the current Leeds players.

Then he may not be jealous but it shows he's an idiot.
If he wouldn't want to savour being a champion and he wouldn't swap his personal accolades for team success it sums him up for me.
He should be very envious of Jamie Peacock. If he had any character his response would be "I would swap of of my wonderful personal achievements to have a taste of the team success enjoyed by the likes of Jamie Peacock and Kevin Sinfield."
I doubt he would and that is why he just doesn't get "it" and why he was never, ever, part of any success in a team environment (Yorkshire Cup Final apart).
He is a poisonous character. I've met and had personal dealings. They do no reflect those you have recalled.

| Great timing by Peacock to spit his dummy out just before we're on tv against a team thats more than likely to embarass us. Should be concentrating more on tonight than messing about on Twitter!

He can't wait to stick the boot in he's done it for years since this current crop burst onto the scene if it's not Mags it's Burrow or Sinfield even when they've won he's had veiled digs either at their own abillity or that of the team.
I hero worshipped Schoey for years but his criticism is never constructive and stinks of jealousy why should Mcguire ,Sinfield ,peacock et al have gone to the NRL to "Prove themseleves"?
He's even admitted how he treated John gallagher ,the trouble before the CC final and the dummy spits over SL contracts.
How are Leeds a "disgrace" to SL??
He himself has been turned over and found wanting many times and not shown up in big games in a team of over-paid over-rated superstars.
A brilliant player but nothing but a bitter and twisted 10 a penny "critic" nowadays.

Yes and maybe Andrew Ettingshausen would want to swap careers with Shane Perry.

You're entitled to an opinion, even though you clearly have an agenda. The GS I know is a great bloke.
He talks some about rugby like we all do, but the bile on that other thread says far more about the posters, including tourself, than the attempted target.

Raising thousands of pounds for charity? Going well beyond the call of duty to help that cancer stricken lad in Wakefield in April? He got a call at 11am one day asking if he could send some signed stuff for auction. By 12pm, he rang back with a team of legends he'd organised in an hour!
He's got into boxing rings for the Steve Prescott Foundation, he plays in legends games for other charities, he convinced hundreds of people to sign a Hillsborough petition recently on twitter, he donated his most prized GB shirt (1985 v NZ) to help raise funds for YOUR club recently...
The truth is, you and others dislike him because you live in this fantasy world where you think ex-players should sit on the fence and say nowt. I can't ever recall him ever being personal or offensive about anyone, like JP was about him today - not that he was offended, he's been laughing about it al afternoon.
What has he done/said that's offended you? He thinks London shouldn't be in Super League? He's against licensing? He thinks Bradford are crap sometimes? Is that it?

| Post six words, get a response...
If I thought he genuinely said what he thinks, rather than he says what will get him attention, I'd have more sympathy.
Kudos to him for all his charity work, but it's a false dichotomy. He didn't quit a successful coaching career to do it, did he?

10 a penny critic? He's easily the best pundit in the game, and from what I understand, hiring him as a columnist is the best commercial decision League Express have taken in ages.
I'm sure he'd admit to playing many a poor game, but his argument is (and he used this when he spoke to JP today) that he could always take criticism. When he was pilloried for his stand-off performance against PNG in 1990, he didn't spit the dummy. He went on to produce some of the best performances any GB international has produced in years.
As for criticism of the current players, did you see his column about Hall/Hardaker/Watkins/Jones-Bishop earlier this year? Full of praise! If I was one of those lads, I'd have framed that piece. But, it's human nature that we remember the negative stuff, not the positive.
What's he admitted to, and where, in regard to the 1995 CCF? Bit of proof on this wouldn't go amiss!
