We were talking about this yesterday and with the Senior, Webb and Buderus moneys still to be fully re-alocated, do you think GH has someone lined up? It was also said to put Zak to full back as he doesnt know how to pass a ball so he would be suited to full back duties.

Hardaker is very much still learning his trade and imo there haven't been as many opportunities to create or pass to Hall as some make out.
As for Shenton no thanks stick a fork in him he's done hence ST's ditching him ,Atkins took the big ££££££ from Wire and good luck to him but he had his chance to come here and didn't so again we move on.
As for £££££ for a signing i think that should be spent in the pack but with Kylie retained and JP allowed another year after this who knows how the squad will look after this year????????

This myth about the loss of Shenton's so called steely defence in the GF was regurgitated last week during a conversation I had with Batley Rhino.

I was reminded about that as George Carmont ran through him and out ran him yesterday.

If he couldn't stop Carmont I wonder why people would think he could have stopped Burrow's break for Hall's try, or Ablett's try?

Not forgetting the Webb try that got Leeds back in the contest also. Perhaps Shenton could have prevented one two or all three, perhaps he couldn't have prevented any of them. It's a question people can speculate over but one that has no definitive answer.

Likewise whether St Helens recent scoreboard dominance over Leeds - when Shenton is on the field - can be attributed to his presence anymore than to several other factors is interesting but not conclusive either.
