| It was always gonna be a tough match after last weeks debacle and the Giants also dropping points but i thought we did ourselves no favours whatsoever tonight and the Giants took their chances well remained composed with and without the ball and were worthy winners.
I thought young Ward had a real dig and has done himself no harm at all.
It wasn't until we were 22-6 down when Kylie and JP made any real impact which was frustrating yet again.
Far too many offloads went behind the support players IF there were any at all and once again Sinfield under pressure butchered a few 5th tackle plays in their 20.
We dropped far too much ball with little or no pressure and when the Giants defence held its shape we laacked ideas until the last 25 minutes when we went off the cuff and Ward was trying his best to create something.
No quality ball was shifted out wide and other than the odd 1 Watkins and hardaker got ball when static and no room to move which also lead to Hall and Smith having come inside and run sideways alot to try to look for any gaps or momentum.
Moore and Griffin added some go forward but again we were OFF pace shifting the ball.
Our defence was busted far too often and whilst quite few times the lads showed desire to scramble back the damage was done in terms of running out of steam.
M.O.M went to Moore and i could see why but for me it should of gone to Ward.
Oh and whoever told Hood and Ward to defend together needs a re-think Crabtree thought it was Xmas when busted through after getting pats on the back from our defensive line as he ran sideways before busting the 2 young lads who didn't have a chance of stopping him to be fair luckily Grix tried to be flash with a kick to George but it went dead.
I would also like to add Kirke reverted to his "NON-EVENT" performance and after seeing Singleton and Dan Smith take Mason ,Tonks and Lunt on and more than handle them and then some in the u20's the man is robbing a shirt imo.

| I oon't think we were [ithat[/i bad. We were always going to struggle to create with 3 of our play makers missing. Our defense baring 2 or 3 crucial powderpuff misses was much better than last week although our defense around the ruck needs quite a bit of work as too many are using it as an excuse for a rest.
I though McShane and Hoods service was excellent out of DH however I would like to see them run more from DH although it doesn't help whn a lot of the players arn't working hard enough to gain quick PTB.
The biggest disapointment for me was our support play (again not aided by 3 of our best support players not playing).
Overall its a disapointing but credit to Hudds the took thei chances and defended really well as a team.

| I see yer point CS and i agree it's just frustrating when simple passes go to ground and we wait till the game is almost gone before trying to be a bit more inventive.

| I have to say i thought Ablett, Sinfield and Peacock ran their blood to water, I agree with Hood and McShanes 'good service', but they really need to be taught when it's the right time to scoot out of dummy half. Wards full debut was excellent, what a talent. The best team won on the night, Hudds looked well drilled, and knew when to spread it wide. No worries for me..I actually enjoyed the game, inspite of Silverwood.

Agreed. I think games like tonights highlight just how much we lack a ball handling back rower. Ablett has his moments but I sometimes think he and Delaney inparticular get in the way of the ball getting to the backs a bit quicker. I'd consider moving Ward into the back row again the Bulls to try and give us a bit more zip and guile out wide.

Not saying he had a bad game but have you ever seen a ref in white boots before. There's just something about him that really annoys me. Russell Smith was the same.

| Much better than last week but suppose it had to be.
Our defence was good for most of the game but a few lapses did cost us. Giants deserved the win but not too disappointed with the perfomance. I thought Ward showed a lot of promise after a shaky start. We lacked a bit of attacking flair which was understandable with the players missing. We tried to go from dummy half near the line to often when gaps were out wide.
Thought Peacock was Mom tonight. He always leads the way with hitups and metres made and he led the way tonight. Moore impressed and his ability to offload looked our best attacking weapon at times

| Keith Senior was right, he comes over as being arrogant, I thought we were vastly improved at not questioning his decisions, but maybe that was just coz Webby was out.

| Fellas whilst Cummings remains Refs controller we are never gonna improve the dross that Silverw##k and Alibert dish up week after week.

| IMHO Ward was outstanding - I really believe that this lad is the real deal. For a young-un he showed real maturity.
We were always going to struggle with Webb, McGuire and Burrow missing - also Bailey and JJB missing didn't help.
I think the thing that really let us down was our last tackle option - how many time this week (and last) were we caught in possession on the last?

| Giants beat us fair and square and deserved their win.
The big plus for us was the performance of Stevie Ward who should have won MOM .
It seems you have forgotten who we are.
We are the current SL Champions and best team in the World apparently.

| Can tonights performance not be put down in the most part to the young age of some of the players on the pitch? Ward, Hood, McShane obviously all lack big match experience. Watkins, Hardaker, Jones Bishop and Clarkson have still only been in the side a year or in some cases two. Smith hasn't played a lot recently. Then factor in that Leuluai and Delaney seemed to do fair stints on the touchline and it is fairly clear why the side struggled. The pressure on Sinfield and Peacock to unite the team and bridge the gap between young and old was obvious. By playing narrower perhaps to compensate against some of the physiques of the younger guys, Huddersfield hit us on the wings. By playing wider to counterbalance they isolated the younger guys down the middle.
Ultimately the game has to be put down to a fantastic experience for some of the emerging stars in the side, but with Huddersfield playing some clinical rugby at times, the result wasn't surprising.

| I may be mistaken but I thought most of the giants breaks came up the middle.
BJB was unlucky with the kick by the winger for the 3rd try, but the BBC report crucifies him for it. Not too sure what else he could have done, should be interesting viewing Monday.

Well I thought he was fast asleep when the ball was kicked. Had Smith or Webb come up with that mistake no doubt many on here including myself would critisise.

| was a good game to watch alot of errors from both sides and 2 breaks in the second half from us won us the game. one thing as a giants fan im very impressed with us is our goal line defence this season which has won us games at wigan and at home to saints and again what i thought won us the game 2night.
also i dont think leeds have the same go forward with out burrow but thats expected with the class he is, robbo is the same for us and his return helped. dont niether side playerd to what they are capable of but a good game never the less
i do like the look of your young half back very good talent one to watch for the future.
